maybe a bit premature to post this without waiting for the full year. look at the 0-1year old cars at 27097. i predict by end of 2024, this number will probably decrease by half as majoirity will be scrapped due to the high coe.

lets see.

if this happens, it will become a vicious cycle, and more scrap to contribute back to the new pool!

yup then more quota for the subsequent year. but come 2033... dry as a desert.

I dont think so,  next week we will see fully  packed showrooms, AD showrooms running out of snacks and coffee

LTA going to announce the Feb-Apr quota, which is expected to further increase.  With this the premium is expected to slide further.

I think they will regulate the quota to ensure the COE price wont go too low

They probably will regulate when the yearly quota hits around 60,000

I doubt ADs will drop dollar to dollar for G bid after today drop.

hmmmm like this look's like limpeh's TP of 50k is gonna come sooner than expected mwahahahaha

someone said there's nothing wrong with making more money. limpeh say there's nothing wrong with saving more money. cat A so far has dropped ard 40k from the peak...i feel the pain of those who bought high, but anyway they may not need the money unlike peasants like limpeh...40k is how many gallons of petrol siah?!

sorry limpeh is rambling...too excited...maybe heading to some showroom to see see look look soon...though limpeh quietly hope the coe plummets to 30k range then can just renew lao pok chia's coe mwahahaha...can move can liao lahhhh

Ironically, high >100k COE will stop peasants save even more money by giving up driving altogether.

Even if COE drop to 30k, total 10year cost still ~200k

When will we again see $1k coe (factoring for inflation)?

Plan to visit some car showrooms soon to size up the new situation.   lol

if you include petrol cost etc etc etc then it will lah. limpeh nowadays only drive to nearby malls...1 full tank can last 1 mth mwahahahaha

maybe...just maybe...with more bad news abt wars, layoffs and whatnot ppl will be discouraged to buy cars 😀

not wishing more layoffs but unfortunately this is the world where only the fattest survive 😈
