Don’t forget that Alonso is the direct beneficiary of Crashgate even if investigations found no evidence he instigated it. But Piquet did point out that Alonso did not question the race strategy of starting with a low fuel load that would require an early pit stop when the prevailing strategy didn’t call for stops till later…
