I was at Watson and the staff told me there is a fee.

Normally I top up at PETRONAS and understand there is a 50cts fee too.

I've top-up at Watsons many times, no fee so far unless they have changed (my last top up there was early last month). I'm using the Watsons Touchngo Card though.

Under touchngo website reload without fee, Watsons is still listed inside.

I was Watson TnG card is no longer available and no new one will be issued by Watson's cashiers.  Won't be surprised the arrangement has ended.

Can but if VEP RFID becomes mandatory, you might have problem as you can't have 2 RFID on the same vehicle.

By right, VEP RFID is for foreign vehicles while TnG RFID for MY cars.

Hi there,

Just a question.... I did not download any Apps, or apply for VEP. Can I just use a physical T&G card for all tolls along all the highways?

Thanks...

Technically yes you can.

But since VEP registration is mandatory for foreign car and If their police stop you to check VEP status?

I think it's cos you must use their Watson's TnG card then it's free... the standard TnG card is not free when you top up... I used the standard card before... not all Watson's can't top up now... but I guess the existing ones which allow top up still do...

Confirm can... that's what I did for my trip to Ipoh, Cameron Highlands, Penang & Melaka in June 2022... but the cards are not produced anymore... so I don't know how that will work out for us eventually... the cards last 10 years but if it gets spoiled it would be nigh impossible to find a replacement...

So far never heard of it yet lar... cos it's not fully implemented yet... just a lot of talk and partial roll out then the pandemic struck... after this elections when the dust has settled then we see if VEP will move ahead or not... or die in tiger littered history of failed Malaysian projects...
