Lorry had to brake for cam car to filter in?

If lorry only had to release gas pedal without braking, this might not happen.

Regardless, looks like lorry is due for brake & tyres check. [:p]

I drove  both dihatsu truck and blind vans when i was very young, many van and this type of light truck drivers didnt know how light the rear is and how easily their vehicles can  spin out of control, their speed limit is controlled at 70kmh for good reasons.

Not bad for a fwd car to extricate from being stuck on the road divider.
And it bumpers look robust enough to breach road railings.
😁

Rental company can only claim from insurance company right ?

So the driver still escape paying money to the rental company under rental agreement. :slow:

Unless rental company having the same clause as "Blue SG" or "Get Go" where the driver have to pay huge some of money in repairs.... [bigcry]

Since the driver was arrested for DUI, insurance will deny own damage and 3rd party property damage (including central railing).

Rental car company can only claims against driver.

I think for this case rental coy has to suck it up.

For incidents in which if the car plate number is not publicised and rental company not aware and if damages not substantial and car can still be drive fine, probably better to go outside workshop do some touch-ups and then hushed up the matter.

Driver will still have to pay the excess.

Now the problem is whether rental company can claim from insurance or not because the driver was DUI.

If cannot claim insurance, then it's gonna be a civil suit against the driver.
