If real Buyers, every Dealers respond will be Positive,if those only Test for Fun(SE will know),most Dealers will shun them..

Aiyo, what goes ard, comes ard. Good luck to these picky ones then. I bought a car when I was "testing for fun", just checking ard what's in market. Cos the car just strikes a chord with me. 😁 Such dealers just remind me of Borneo Motors - nose super high back then. Now I hardly see any new Lexus or toyota registered cars on the road. Lol.

Actually guys, I only have 4 months of instalments left (S$2,980) for my current ride. After that I would be driving 'free' for 3 years until April 2029 where my COE expires.

I was offered S$41k trade-in by 1826 last night which will help to offset a chunk of CAPEX for the new car. On the other hand if I drive my current ride till the end I would have little paper value left.

Do you think it makes sense to make the switch to EV now?

@TVaddict

my two cents' worth.

if after your loan ends and you continue driving for free, can you set aside that $41k (or higher if COE goes up astronomically) 3 years from today?

if cannot, then change now.

if can, then just continue but have to save money for the future downpayment at whatever price the future new car may be.... future tech for EVs also will be better than today's.

but if it's the Kia Cerato >> BYD Seal 6.. i think can go ahead and change ah..

Haha no need lah, I'm not urgent. Just exploring around for options. Tomorrow planning to go see Aion V.

I went to Waterway Point just now 😄

Many new models coming next year, I hear even got Cat A Xpeng G6.

I think it pays to wait and see. Take the time go round different AD eat their free snacks and lim kopi. So far, PML/BMW kopi I rated the best.

I was interested in buying the BYD Seal 6. Last weekend, I went to Motoreast roadshow at Sengkang Grand Mall and JC showroom.

Motoreast (old uncle) gave me:

1) First year road tax rebate capped at $1k

2) Insurance rebate capped at $1k.

That's all. I was like ok, maybe he thought it wasnt serious in buying.

So went back home, I WhatsApp JC. They gave alot of perks. So following day went down to view and test drive.

The SE (young chap) gave me:

1) First year road tax rebate capped at $1.5k

2) First year insurance rebate capped at $1.5k

3) Crystalline 3M Solar Film

4) Ceramic Coating

5) Front & Back Dashcam

6) Auto tailgate free installation

7) Trapo carmat

So, I decided to go with JC instead. They say car instock and will be ready to collect once 2nd bid finished. So, see how it goes

Does the young chap name start with a 'K'?

Might be the same guy i bought from. Mainly because I went round and besides better deal, he not kuailan like the Sime SE that served me.

Actually, if the old guy thought you not serious, why does it harm any SE to just give the full freebie menu? You not serious then no diff, u buy then good. No loss to them.

Yes bro, its the same guy. He was very friendly, informative and gave me freebies also. He added the trapo car mat after I said i will buy the car.

The old guy was like not hunger for my sales. He never even talk about the car, just asked me if i need anything. When I asked the specs then he say. When I asked what freebies he can give, just those 2 which everyone give. I thought usually roadshow got so many freebies can give. Then he approach me for what. Damn dulan, so I just left. Maybe he hit his quota already.

@Sinicker Not yet. But yes BYD dropped by a huge margin. I was surprised.

I'm monitoring Aion's package.. See if they will be dropping also.

What do u mean drive for free?

Juz becoz u finish paying installment means your annual depreciation magically stops?
