Link187 Neutral Newbie December 6, 2017 Share December 6, 2017 Folks, I have been searching for feedbacks on this PI - The Wheeler's Auto but I'm surprised to see no mention of these guys at all in MCF. They seem to have great feedback on Facebook and is a relatively new entrant. Thoughts? https://www.facebook.com/thewheelersauto/ ↡ Advertisement

jach66 2nd Gear December 7, 2017 Share December 7, 2017 Hi there, pls assist if possible. Recently I have purchase a Honda Shuttle from this PI company. We paid deposit 1 wk b4 Coe for 1st week of Nov. we even requested for 2 bid guarantee Coe . When it was the Coe day and we was inform that they did not bid. Reason given was the car is otw to Singapore via sea freight so they will bid for the next Coe - 22 Nov. in between we keep calling the PI for our car n in the end the car arrives into SGP n was given the charis number. On 22 Nov Coe again they did not bid. We were so frustrated and they again say the car is in LTA Q-ing for inspection. My question here is 2 bid Coe how come the PI can don't bid? They say that this is their internal problem. Right from the beginning the boss of this PI company is not interested to face us and ask his sales person to entertain us. We have deposit $15k with them n we wants to get back from them but they persuade us. So we can only wait till LTA finish the inspection and then they will bid Coe for us. Guys, pls recommend in this type of scenario how to resolve? Hi there, pls assist if possible. Recently I have purchase a Honda Shuttle from this PI company. Abiananth1 Neutral Newbie December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 Car Times (http://cartimes.com.sg/) - one dealer I have become a customer to, pending delivery of my car has had me frustrated. Despite being CASE Trust company, their practices are not at all transparent. When I went to buy the car and quoted my price the salesman asked me for my credit/debit card along with my IC to show to his management that "the customer is serious". I refused in the beginning and after assurances that they'd not charge anything on the card, I gave it. Voila! what happens next? I see an alert on my mobile that my card has been charged with $2000. I was furious and gave the salesman a piece of my mind; I think they don't give a rat's ass about the customer. For my second payment, the prerequisite was a bank loan approval. I got a message from the salesman that the loan has been approved. When I called the bank to check if the loan is approved, they couldn't locate an application in my name, leave alone an approval. When I demanded an explanation for it, the salesman said that all customers "trust" them and were those customers "fools" for trusting them?! Well, honestly, I don't know pal, you tell me?! Then I moved ahead as I wanted to close the deal. To my utter frustration, none of the following payments I have made have resulted in an official receipt but only screenshots of bank transfer to Car Times that I have attached. Mark this - no official receipts with a proper company seal or signature! The salesman says, "this is now we do business at Car Times. If you want, I can have my manager sign it". Even when I buy a mobile phone battery from an official outlet, I get a receipt with a proper company name receipt, seal and signature of an authorized signatory. I can't believe a car costing more than $115k doesn't produce a receipt from Car Times. I would say that Car Times has no transparency and to a great extent doesn't exude a professional image. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will finally have a proper account statement, an official receipt for the monies I have paid and I don't get tricked in to something. If I am saying this, it clearly means that Car Times have completely failed to put me in comfort and give me the reassurance that is to be given to a customer. I wonder if the people who own and run this company are professionals?

Kopites Supersonic December 13, 2017 Share December 13, 2017 (edited) $2000 from credit card without your signature that is amounted to fraud. You should have stopped there and made a police case. I have never brought from cartimes as their authorised workshop for honda kind of far from me. However the last time (many years) back when I spoke to them they gave me a very good/clean impression. They are the tan chong resales arm. Resales Nissan car given one year warranty by Nissan. Maybe times changed. Well, to quote a wise man, "When a mosquito is sitting on your balls, you know everything can't be addressed with force". Same was my case, with a few compulsions. At times you have to bear with such inconveniences to achieve your goal. You pick your battles, right? My focus was to get the car at the price agreed and not derail the deal. So, the next week when (hope the statement won't start with "if") I get my car, I will finally be at peace. The salesman has agreed to provide an official letter/receipt with the company logo, stamp and his "manager's" signature. I can't trust if the person is the manager or the authorized signatory but that's as far as it can go, I guess. When they swiped my card for $2k without my permission, they lost my trust and as you see, they followed it up with more untrustworthy actions. Doesn't make sense when you got sort of "scammed" $2000 and yet still want to close the deal? Please see my other response - technically it was not a "scam" as they have recognized the $2k as the advance and adjusted it to the follow-up payments. Give me $100,000 for this car. Salesman say give me your credit card and ic to show your sincerity bla bla bla. So he swiped it once confirmed he could sell u at $100,000. Why is this not trustworthy? Lol. Don’t understand. Did you purchase the vehicle at the price you offered? Did u feel u could have squeezed more? Haha. Abiananth1 Neutral Newbie December 14, 2017 Share December 14, 2017 It’s not about squeezing more. He swiped my car clearly against my instructions not to do so. It is a clear breach of trust. Mind you I didn’t give him permission to charge me. I asked him to call me inside the office if he wants me to make any payment. He did exactly the opposite. I find it amusing that you approve of such behaviour. Perhaps you’re one of them?
