IMO, its overpriced for a model that is souped up by cosmetic parts. Looks pretty good but it doesn't match up performance wise. No offense to Mazda 3 lovers

Cool. For the non-PI version, taking 79K and 16K omv, working out to be depreciation to be 6.9K. Not worth it.

 

I believe Civic is cheaper.

I agree that it is not worth the money to get the Mazda3. It is really over-priced. I guess most people don't look at the breakdowns of car-prices (selling price vs OMV, COE, Agent servicing package cost, etc). Btw, last heard that Mazda3's waiting list is very long.

If those buying do not mind a car that is not performing so be it. After purchase then these people will seek for mods.......aiyah ,.....

Look at it this way...performance wise, it's on par with Focus, not far off from Altis/Civic. Handling almost on par with Focus, better than Civic and Altis. Looks wise, although subjective but generally most would agree it looks better than all the above. Build wise, I do feel MZ3 better built than Altis or Civic (not sure about Focus though).

 

So end of day, it's really up to individual to decide, whether they think it's worth paying for the extras or not (looks, handling, built quality with some trade off in pick up).
