Feedback on AudioEdge and Pioneer TS-WX22A

Dear all,

Just done with my Active Sub installation this morning at AudioEdge. It was suppose to be a less than 2 hours job but they took about 2.5hours. But this is understandable as I believe being their 1st Astra, they have to study the cable mgt of this car. The A/C is controlled by my key and do not have AAC like normal Japz car. Workmanship seems good and so far so good.

The people there are also friendly and not overly pushy on asking you to buy this or that. Or aggressively promoting other stuffs.

For the Active Sub, I chose the Pionner over the Basslink, Steelmate or Bazooka mainly due to the following reason:-

1) It's half the price of Basslink II or 2hundred less than the Basslink X, Steelmate w 2.1 ch Amp and Bazooka. It's also smaller as well which is just nice for my limited trunk space.

2) For a hatch, it's performing well and does not drown out my stock 7speaker setup. If I take the others, it might overwhelm the vocal and I will be hearing bass only. In the end, I will be "force" to upgrade my components and throw in an Amp. It really defect my goal of just getting an Active sub then.

3) Pioneer should have more products (and cheaper) to upgrade my ICE setup should I change my mind. Digital Sound Processor (DSP) is one of them and I can keep my controller for the Active sub.

With this, I would like to thanks those that have replied and contributed to my research of Active Sub [wave]

Cheers [grouphug]

Is ur CD original?

Can i borrow n burn a copy? [lipsrsealed]

Hey hey! [shakehead]

We officially do not condone copies! We buy originals and burn duplicates which we use and keep in the car as the car is a very harsh environment [nod]

Come by the meetup - listen to the disc, then we shall see if we can help you to get the CD [thumbsup]

Do also note that if you really want really good sound - nothing beats the original ... especially audiophile grade test CDs [sly]

Not export set and come with 1 year warranty...

As for the price, you can call and ask. Look for Foon or Er.

I think their price is one of the more "affordable" aka cheap if people can take that word [;)]

Another shop offered $380, so I think anything equal or less, you can grab liao.

Do feedback to us once you done it.

Hi Sony,

Great to know that you have purchased the Pioneer active sub. Er....is it possible to listen to your set-up? I'm still having some doubts about pioneer active sub. However if the bass that comes out from this pioneer is what I want, then I will follow your set-up.. [thumbsup]
