Was talking about your colleague tongue.gif

Perhaps our expectations are higher nowadays; last time if we got a Fiat, we'd have expected it to rust laugh.gif

not true, cos long time ago, had a Fiat 131 CL and it did not rust, the only set back was it drinks like nobody business. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

that was the expectation long time ago, well by now all manufacturers would have done galvanising work on the car body to prevent rust..... [:p]

Glad u posted this. I was thinking of upgrading to an Aveo. Thought it was an ok car. But if the after sales is bad, then it's not worth considering. I thought the sales pple at showroom with 'average' brand would be quite good as they want to push for more sales. That means being good with the technical know-how. Quite sad.....

buy an altis?? i think Leow Ju len's article last Saturday in Life pretty much explains why folks like us don't buy Altis, Sunny.

buy an altis? you must be kidding, I rather take public transport.

On italian cars, looking at the Fiat Stilo (MS edition) really stirs up the soul. That's the magic of italian-designed cars. Jap car owners can talk about resale value, reliability, easy to get spare parts etc, until the cows come home, but to conti-car owners, we really dont give a damn to such things.

not true, in fact average brand SEs can be the bochap type cos they are volume selling cars, so no nid to work for sale. at least, tat ws my exp wen i bought a jap last time. u just dun really feel like calling the sales guy cos u noe he'd be so bz. but buying the alfa, wooh, i couldn't really blive i was gettin this sorta personalised treatment. the present svc managers at EA are rather nice folks too.

with due respect to altis or watever owners, i do understand y they buy as they may have jobs and families tat needs tat sorta car, running all the time. but i do feel puzzled wen i see follks buying them wen their jobs dun require it. u're rite, it's better to take BMW (bus, mrt, walk) than to spend 60k on tat sorta car.

my colleague sums it up best wen we're talking about fellow colleagues buying cars to get to work. he says might as well buy a 3 room flat near the workplace. somemore will hold its value. wen i told him my reasons for getting the alfa, he fully understood as mines a red plate anyway so its not meant for work.

(edited)

is still a concept design and probably by year 2006. The topless version will be called Trepiuno and comes in many flavours:

1.2L 80bhp

1.4L 95bhp

1.6L 120bhp

1.6L Turbo Abarth

and diesel versions too.

The turboed one is to compete with the current UK Mini Cooper. [cool]
