There are many occassions that I encountered that the "Brake-Assist" will DEACTIVATE by itself, shortly after the Car was drove off from the Car Park. But somethimes, its behaving alright. [confused]

In fact, such situation had resulted me with a minor accident with a Motocycle. After I had brake the Car at a Traffic Light, thinking that the Car was still on Brake-assist, I went to pick up something that had dropped to the floor. Unfortunately it has actually deactivated by itself & I din noticed it too. So it drifted forward slowly & kiss other ppl backside. Fortunately, no one was injured except my Car paint & my Heart. [bigcry]

Did anyone have such experience or know why? How to countermeasure ? [dizzy]

After this experience, I will ALWAYS peep for the Brake-Assist Lamp many many times during my ride.

Hi bro. Sorry to hear your ordeal. You are referring to the electronic brake hold or ctba?

Hi all, just would like to ask your opinion on driving this car

To get the optimal power to fuel ratio, how do you guys accelerate from start?

I tried hard rev from stop to 3000rpm to get to 60kmh but after that the engine work very hard to get faster speed

I find that gradual throttle gives smoother rpm to speed transition

This is very different from manual drive hmmmm

Deactivate itself??? That's odd.

Is it you remove yr seat belt? This will cancel the brake assist i think

Did you have to go into their work area to look for a service advisor yourself, or is that handled by the front desk, i.e. just register and they'll send out their advisor to you?

Since I can see my car being caress thru the full glass, I wuld sometimes walk up to my babe & speak to the Service Advisor..

But not too long cos might disturb their work.. However, wen necessary I wuld ask their Recept to look for someone to have more understanding on my doubts..

Its the Brake-Assist. Not the Brake Hold nor the CTBA...

Bro so gradual accelerate is the way to go?

Unfortunately for cvt...yes....unless its like toyota"s cvt-i then different. U can lut and it will be responsive as it mimicks that of AT. The rubber band effect of vezel cvt is tremendous. U can feel it during the move off especially after you start the eng for the first time.

did you do any of these

■ The system automatically cancels when:
• You engage the parking brake.
• You depress the brake pedal and move the shift lever to (P or R).

Under the following conditions, the system automatically cancels, and the parking
brake is applied:
• Braking is kept for more than 10 minutes.
• The driver’s seat belt is unfastened.
• The engine is turned off.
• There is a problem with automatic brake hold system.

As I was driving & our Vezel c/w Brake-Assist, so I won't be engaging Parking Brake nor put into P.

Likewise, in Singapore unlikely to brake >10min during driving & my seat belt is on. Engine not off during the journey..

So left wih last likelihood, Brake-Assist is malfunction..

To me, if it's always happening still not so bad.. Worst problem is that it happened only occasionally.. tats always the fear of all technician/specialist.. sometimes have sometimes don have..

Ah yes that's it! Rubber band effect! The more I lut the tighter and draggier the engine seems to be! That's the exact term lol

Engine braking also slows the car down quite considerably, can feel the pulling back effect

In Europe Vezel name is HR-V. I make a test drive (1.5 engine + CVT transmission) and found that it meets all my expectations: decent power output, excellent equipment package, great VSA (vehilce stability assist) - I checked it at 110 km/h driving uphill and downhill changing lanes at critical angles. The VSA corrected my stile of driving by speed correction keeping it in safe range. CVT transmission is little bit noisy but in reasonable limits.

Currently I drive Nissan Qashkai 2.0 engine with 144 hps. Comparing these two cars I can say that Qashkai is more sporty but 130 hps engine of HR-V is more than sufficient because its weight with full fuel tank is only 1249 L.

After the test drive I'm absolutely sure that my decision to exchange my Qashkai (7 years old) for new HR-V is a good choice.

Reasons? Almost the same size, boot capacity, very good fuel economy, fun to drive.

You can go to JDM and buy them with installation and body colored paint or black.
