Abt an hr for 1st service. Not to sure how long they change spark plug.. shld be quite fast i think.

 

Btw, not sure service improve FC or not.. the FC was before service.

Top up my petrol this morning.. ard 615km for 35 litre.. calculated ard 17.5km/l, metre reading 17.6km/l

Wow.. are u one of those who drive so slowly from traffic lights, maintain speed at 80km/h kind?

"Normally i travel at 80-100km/h at highway,with rpm > 2500.

At city, normally travel at 50-80km/h unless slow traffic, with rpm >2000.

Try to avoid traffic if u think the route will jam."

 

Previously was driving sunny 1.5A.. also able to hit 13-14km/l.. at higher speed limit.. may the airwave is new. dare not ramp to hard

hi there,

you seem to have the best FC amount us. did you change anything to improve your FC, if yes, pls share wif us. up til now my best mileage i manage to is 14.2km/l. FC seems to b the same after 1st servicing. ramp my previous corolla like crazy and still manage 15-16km/l. now rpm >3000 oso dun have ideal FC.

Didnt change anything.. Think is driving habit and try to avoid traffic/small road.

You have the best FC here liao, cannot compliant why you cant get 18km/l which was stated on the papers.

i going to change engine oil soon.. see whether got improvement. currently engine oil suxxx.. read from the forum about 'AMSOIL'. You think its ok for airwave?

Sorry, I know nuts about engine oil. As long as it lubricates the shaft in the engine can liao. Hehe

Hi,

 

I will be going for the 1st service this weekend.

But I have noticed that my second full tank is performing better than the 1st full tank. It is averaging 14.5km/l. I hope it will improve after the first service. I will be changing the rims as well, and I am sure that will help.

I notice that the Airwave do have better cruising, this definitely help in the FC. I just need to step on acceleration a little, and I can maintain the speed I am on, which normally is around 80-100km.

D any of you notice that?

After my 1st service, so far my metre reading 19.5-20km/l, but dun think it is showing the actual FC, as I can only hit ard 240km at 3/4 mark. My 2nd top (now on 3rd tank) hit 270-280km at 3/4 mark before service
