Gene2 Neutral Newbie May 13, 2006 Share May 13, 2006 Poh Seng Auto Accessories Trading has this package to lightly tune the engine. It has Cold Air Intake Power, Fuel Charger, Super Volt Stabilizer and Grounding Cables for $288. What are they for actually? Anyone installed the HUrricane Stainless Steel filter? I wanna install, and also the white lamps from Philips. Anyone did sound proofing to the car?
Airwave001 Neutral Newbie May 13, 2006 Share May 13, 2006 (edited) I've installed the Hurricane, low end slight improvement, else nothing much, at least this last longer than stock. sadly, airwaves arent as quiet as i wan it to be. Especially mine is fitted with 16inch F1 tyres, road + engine noise. U notice the engine noise to be quite high? esp during idling and aircon kicks in...mine was SP with silent. not entirely satisfied, i guez if you really wan go level of sound improvement, u need to SP everything. not a few areas like mine ( wheel arc, fender, bonnet and doors ). The noise was not really eliminated, it was juz muffled. Edited May 13, 2006 by Airwave001

Gene2 Neutral Newbie May 13, 2006 Share May 13, 2006 S mode will leave out the 4th gear right? How much did u spend on SP ur airwave?
Airwave001 Neutral Newbie May 14, 2006 Share May 14, 2006 i did not notice s mode skip 4th gear, any wavers comment? SP breakdown - 4 doors 280, bonnet 100, 4 wheel arc and fender 380, total 760 conclusion: the 4 doors make a diff to ur audio, and it sounds good when u close the door Bonnet muffles the engine noise. Wheel arc and fender - right now i find no justification for the cost yet. Maybe is my F1 tyres Be prepared to heart pain a bit coz they are gng to tear ur airwave apart to access to the areas to be SP esp the rear wheel arc and fender. Maybe the car do become quiet now. When my fuel tank is full, and due to wave central tank design, when i suddenly accelerate and brake the car, i could hear the petrol splashing noise. haha
Teammax Neutral Newbie May 15, 2006 Share May 15, 2006 (edited) Did u incorporate CAI with yr Hurricane? I am considering a CAI with the Hurriance dropin. Apparently the the CAI will improve low-end quite a bit. quite a bit of SP done. Any -ve impact on FC since now yr ride is heavier? Cheers. Jamstart 1st Gear May 17, 2006 Share May 17, 2006 Got it ffrom my own PI lor. take less than 2 min to put up.
Karu 6th Gear May 17, 2006 Share May 17, 2006 $380 is still too ex for a cover!!! I'll not pay more than $200 for it.
Jamstart 1st Gear May 17, 2006 Share May 17, 2006 Understand but 200 is quite impossible unless it is a second hand. Actually, i am thinking of selling off as second hand after a few years ride, so still not so bad lor. By that time, a few years later, i believe there are more airwavers on the road. Anyway, a cover for behind still can hide away from those peeping tom. hehehe.
Shaimerc Neutral Newbie May 17, 2006 Share May 17, 2006 Hi Friends, Can anyone recommend good PI, I wish to test-drive and probably buy Honda Airwave. But, after reading about experiences of people with PI, I am kinda nervous. Appreciate your help! Further, what prices I should expect, as I believe prices advertised for the same model with COE/Guranteed Delivery etc... are between 55K to 65K. Cheers! ↡ Advertisement
