  3. Italy, What a sore loser. Complaint, complaint, complaint World Champion lost to men in orangie (Holland) by 3 goals.... ESPN Soccernet Report : World champions Italy suffered a calamitous start to their Euro 2008 campaign as they fell to an impressive Holland in their Group C opener in Bern. The Dutch were lucky to take a 26th-minute lead after Ruud van Nistelrooy turned in Giovanni van Bronckhorst's effort Saw this morning CNA news highlight that Italy claimed was rejected that RVN was offside when he score the first goal as there is one injured Italy player at the goal line near to the goal post.... The other match (France vs Romania) which I watch was a big disappointment. Both sides shots on target at goals added up not more than 15 times..... Never surprise whenever Anelka played, one man show.... , but their no 22 Frank Ribery is , a target of summer transfer for Liverpool.... Tonight will watch Spain.... (Torres).....
  4. Sami Hyypia scores again but for the wrong side. As reported at ESPN Soccernet : In the city that saw Liverpool's greatest triumph of modern times, their involvement in this season's Champions League was all but ended. Liverpool were behind early on to a Serdar Ozkan effort which deflected in off central defender Sami Hyypia. And from then on the Anfield men toiled and laboured in an increasingly desperate attempt to avoid a humiliating defeat. Liverpool's obvious need to win this clash was underlined by the inclusion of two wingers - Ryan Babel and Jermaine Pennant - in Rafael Benitez's starting line-up. There were just two changes from the side that won at Everton on Saturday, Gerrard was back in the centre of midfield, with Mohamed Sissoko and Yossi Benayoun left out. Although in control 0f 64% possession, Liverpool can kiss goodbye to Champ League soccer. For sure, I will not loose my sleep over this Sunday match against Arsenal.
  5. Australian legend Brock dies in rally smash. By Matthew Agius Peter Brock, a nine time Bathurst 1000 winner and three-time Australian Touring Car Champion, has passed away after crashing his Daytona Coupe into a tree during a stage of the Targa West Tarmac Rally today. The incident occurred near Gidgegannup at 11.50 local (WST) time, north-east of Perth, with Brock's co-driver Mick Hone being taken to hospital with serious injuries, although in a stable condition. Having retired from fulltime touring car racing in 1997, Brock took to rally driving, becoming a frequent competitor in Targa rallies, including the recent Targa Tasmania. Police originally did not confirm the passing of the legend, but motorsport officials later informed the media of the death. http://www.crash.net/news_view~t~Australia...3~id~137003.htm
  6. Not in my books ..... forget it Rubinho, you can say whatever you want , but everybody knows you are there to play second fiddle to Micheal Shumacher. You have never proven yourself to be champ material , like Coultard. Driving a similar car to Micheal ... wats yr average score per year ?? And with Micheal behind the wheels of the other Ferrari, he'll just radio back to the pits and u'd get screwed over and over again ..... let Micheal pass will always be the voice to haunt you. Rubens 'DC' Barrichello: 'I Will Be World Champ' 15/01/04 Is Rubens Barrichello F1's new David Coulthard? The Brazilian is definitely vying for the role, as his recent 'I'm going to be World Champion' comments have demonstrated. Speaking after Ferrari announced that he's signed for another two years, Rubinho proclaimed to the world that he would one day be the F1 World Champion. "I expect to win races and fulfil my dream of winning a World Championship - at least one. By signing the contract I have at least another three chances of winning the title," a bullish Barrichello said. But the 31-year-old won't be happy about winning the title unless he succeeds in doing it while his six-times World Champion team-mate, Michael Schumacher, is still racing. "I am very proud to work with Michael... racing alongside him is a privilege and not a problem, but I do hope to become World Champion. And if I have to win, I'll win now and not when he retires."
