Frozen yogurt chain llaollao to be replaced with new brand Yole SINGAPORE: Spanish frozen yogurt chain llaollao will be closing down in Singapore to make way for Yole, another European froyo brand, starting from Thursday (Dec 7), Channel NewsAsia has learnt. D+1 Holding, the company that is the master franchisee of llaollao in Singapore, confirmed that it will no longer be continuing the franchise. It did not reveal the reason why. “D+1 Holding has terminated the master franchise of Singapore with llaollao Spain and will cease the operations of llaollao in Singapore,” it said in a reply to Channel NewsAsia. The company has since acquired the rights to European frozen yogurt chain Yole (which is pronounced yo-lay) and will be converting all 29 llaollao outlets islandwide to the new brand by Dec 9. Since opening in Singapore four years ago, llaollao, which sells frozen yogurt with a wide variety of toppings, quickly gained ground and attracted long queues outside its flagship store at Marina Square and other branches. The new brand Yole will also be serving natural frozen yogurt as well as a coconut soft-serve ice cream. On top of the wide selection of toppings, new frozen yogurt flavours, made with ingredients sourced from Italy and Spain, will be introduced on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Prices range from S$2.50 to S$6.95 for tubs and smoothies. “Over time, Yole will study the market and their customer expectations to develop future flavours and add even more toppings,” D+1 Holding said. On whether the new froyo brand has big shoes to fill, a spokesperson from D+1 Holding told Channel NewsAsia: “Objectively, we believe Yole is a better product and has a wider menu. We also firmly believe that Yole will suit the Singapore market with exciting flavour innovations and well-known toppings from Spain and Italy.” Read more at https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/business/frozen-yogurt-chain-llaollao-to-be-replaced-with-new-brand-yole-9474914 Will have long queue on 9 Dec like Gong Cha ?

  3. http://www.sgcarmart.com/news/article.php?AID=4894 The Trans-Eurokars Group, owned by Mr Karsono Kwee, will take over the Mazda franchise in Singapore Trans-Eurokars will start running the Mazda franchise as early as Nov 1 or latest, by Dec 1. The Group will operate out of Mazda's current showroom at 315 Alexandra Road, next to Ikea, until October next year to fulfil a lease requirement. The showroom will then move to 23 Leng Kee Road, where the Opel showroom is located, before a dedicated Mazda facility is built, the paper added. Mr Kwee told the paper that a flagship Mazda building will be built at No. 5 Leng Kee Road. Currrently location also houses the Trans-Eurokar office and the Saab showroon. The businessman admitted that it is not easy selling Japanese cars in the current climate that is dominated by premium German brands. But Mr Kwee expressed hope that Mazda has a long-term future, what with new models coming here next year. These include the CX-5 crossover in 2012's first quarter, the Mazda5 and the CX9. The Mazda franchise has been held by the Phng family for 55 years. Troubles started when a shrinking supply of COEs and strong competition reduced it sales. Mr Kwee revealed that they aim to sell 800 to 1,000 Mazdas a year. The Group runs five other car franchises here namely Porsche, Mini, Rolls-Royce, Saab and Opel.

  5. hi Bros/Sis, I visited this 7-eleven franchise road show at marina square yesterday. Many people are there inquiring. I saw both young and old. -initial investment can range from 50k to over 200k, depending on takeover store location. -have to attend 3mths training on store management. I had been an employee for 13 years, so now thinking whether to switch path. No prior experience in doing business. Never work in any front line job. I view this as a chance to be own boss and switch line. But this is not a small investment for me. does any bros here have experience in this area? or any other franchise? anything to take note... the first feedback i got so far is, Cheers is cheaper than 7-eleven... thanks & regards
  6. Finally the Citroen franchise has been given to JC&C in today's Straits Times. I've had a Citroen car b4...really lousy aftersales experience. It's about time. I think I've more confidence in JC&C than in Adv Auto. What do you guys think?
