  1. Last weekend, there was a story that went viral of a Jaguar XE driver causing a huge jam on the single-lane road just so he could snatch up the parallel parking lot, only leaving when the police were called on him. Watch the video for yourself below. The video mainly shows the dispute between the Jaguar XE and the Honda vehicle. The black Jaguar was jutting out of a parking lot along Cheong Chin Nam Road with a male driver in white pants standing beside the vehicle. Next to it was a black Honda Odyssey stationary in the middle of the street. From this particular video, it seemed as if the Jaguar XE driver was refusing to budge so as to secure the parallel parking lot, thereby causing a huge jam on the single-lane road. The owner of the Jaguar XE, presumably the male in the white pants, was yelled at by a woman wearing a black jumpsuit and a pink top. This has been confirmed to be the Honda driver. He has been branded as an entitled douchebag by many netizens, However, is there more to this story? The Jaguar XE driver’s account According to the Jaguar XE driver, he actually did not intend to park at that spot at all and had actually wrongly entered the parking lot. He also tried to reverse his car after the realization of his error. According to him, his car gear selector knob was stuck as well, making it necessary for him to restart the car multiple times. He accused the Honda driver of being aggressive towards him, oscillating between hurling vulgarities at him and “punching violently” on his car window and explained that he remained stationary so as to wait for the arrival of the police. He now claims to be fearful of his safety and reputation after the swarm of online comments that seemed to blame him for this incident. Revealing that the car actually belongs to his girlfriend, he claims to be worried that the videos would draw negative press to her. Is he telling the truth? Judging from the video, he seems to be appear pretty relaxed with one hand using his phone and after which with both hands in his pockets. According to healthline, one's posture can offer some insight as to what someone is currently thinking. And based on this article, leaning on something, like a car for example like how this man is doing, can often suggest boredom or disinterest. Generally, he seems to give off an arrogant, disinterested vibe as well. It seems as if he wasn't that anxious to get out of that spot after all. Netizen Comments According to the comments, there seems to be a lot of negative press surrounding him. Some Netizens don’t seem to buy his explanation either It seems as if the perception of him by the public is not exactly stellar. Personally, I feel like the Jaguar XE driver might just be trying to save his @$$. ========= Be the first to get the latest road/ COE news and get first dibs on exclusive promos and giveaways in our Telegram SGCM Community. Jaguar XE

This seems interesting...anyone knows when it might be coming? http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/jaguar/85784/jaguar-xe-price-pictures-specs-release-date-new-baby-jag
  3. Jaguar has published the onboard video of its recent record-breaking XE SV Project 8 Nurburgring lap. With a lap record of 7 minutes and 18.361 seconds, the XE SV Project 8 is still the world’s fastest four-door production car around the Naordschleife, improving its own time by 2.9 seconds and making it 7 seconds faster than the second-best rival. Driven by Belgian racing driver Vincent Radermecker, the car is no track special and is a production-specced car. With the help of some new sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres and the Track Pack, Radermecker manages to do better than its previous lap record. Other than the Track Pack that removes the rear seats in favor of a roll cage, the car also had its adjustable suspension set to its ‘track’ ride height and the front splitter and rear wing set to their maximum downforce position for the lap record attempt. Thanks to its supercharged 5.0-litre V8, the 592bhp car can do the century sprint in 3.3 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 320km/h.
  4. Will like advice from fellow car enthusiasts for advice on the 3 cars: Which will you put your money in and why? (Thanks for giving me your reason!) I am aware that the 3 of them belong to different categories but their prices are pretty similar and imho, they all look good and each one with their individual ups & downs. WHICH is WHY I am caught in a dilemma in which to get. I had also test driven them, except the CLA250(not available for test drive) and am loving how the Jag handles and how wonderful the pull of the BMW is. Test driven the CLA180SB, underpowered and am not a fan of FWD, especially so for wagon driving. For my needs, it's basically a 4-5door family-type of car with a fun aspect, definitely. Not too shabby a price when I sell in 3-4years time. Jaguar XE CLA 250 Shooting Brake BMW 330i, F30 Thanks in advance for all your helpful inputs!
  5. Jaguar has unveiled more information about the upcoming Jaguar XE – it will employ extensive use of aluminium in its chassis, which is said to be the first in its class. Jaguar will use a new highly recycled aluminium alloy called RC5754 that was developed specifically for the XE. While the company is known for its aluminium construction, we weren’t too sure at first if the XE would get it. This is because its big brother the XF got a conventional chassis instead of an aluminium chassis like the big XJ. The benefits of using aluminium are obvious – just compare the weight of the XF 2.0 Ti and the long wheelbase XJ 2.0 Ti on CarBase.my – they both weigh 1,660kg despite the massive difference in size! Thanks to a body that will use over 75% aluminium content, expect the Jaguar XE to be one of the lightest cars in its segment. Because the engine has to lug less weight around, Jaguar is targeting to deliver a fuel economy of less than 4 litres per 100 km on the EU combined cycle for the most fuel efficient XE. The XE will use Jaguar’s new Ingenium engine family, which will also be shared with Land Rover. Ingenium engines will be modular in nature – they share the same bore, stroke, cylinder spacing, 500 cc capacity per cylinder and many common internal components. All Ingenium engines will be turbocharged and feature central high-pressure direct injection, variable valve timing and stop-start systems, and will also support pairing with an electric motor for hybrid drive. The Jaguar XE will get its global unveiling in a little more than a month’s time on September 8 2014. It will join many other other new entries to a market has traditionally been a 3-Series and C-Class game. How will it fare? We can’t wait to see how it looks like and experience how it drives.
  6. Jaguar's plan to make a compact sports sedan is on track for a global launch in 2015. The automaker recently released a short video, offering viewers a glimpse of the new XE sedan. http://dai.ly/x1ewij3 The new XE will go head on with the BMW 3 Series and Lexus IS, as well as other worthy contenders in the compact sedan segment when it goes on sale in 2015. It also promises to be the most technologically advanced, featuring a lightweight aluminium construction as demonstrated on the C-X17 concept, as well as a new range of 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel powerplants.
