It turned out to be a 10,000-volt electrical substation. -- PHOTO: WEIBO XI'AN - A boy suffered a near-fatal electrocution when he urinated on a transformer on a roadside in China's Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province. Fang Haohao, seven, wanted to relieve himself while waiting with his parents at a bus stop and was told by his father to do so at an open space behind some hoarding, according to My Paper. Mr Fang then heard crackling noises shortly after and saw thick smoke rising from a nearby shed, which turned out to be a 10,000-volt electrical substation. He rushed over to discover his son lying on the floor of the shed, his whole body on fire. All the boy's hair had been burnt off and he was covered in blisters. Haohao was rushed to a hospital, which transferred him to a better-equipped facility where his left arm was amputated. A doctor also said nearly half of the boy's body was severely burnt and that his skull was visible. Police on the scene discovered a small warning sign on the shed but was unable to establish who owned it. Speaking to local media, a tearful Mr Fang questioned the lack of prominent warning signs around the substation. He also asked why it was located so near a bus stop. "We come from a village. My son must have thought it uncivilised to pee by the roadside in a city. But at his age, how could he have known that it was a substation?" he said. Quoting a physics teacher in Xi'An, My Paper reported that urine, consisting mostly of saline, is a good conductor of electricity. An electrical current could have flowed through the boy's stream of urine if it came into contact with the transformer, causing an electric shock. Why do I not feel a bit sad? My mobile phone of 2 years is started to give problems (extremely short battery life, home button doesn't work, always hang screen etc). It's probably time to get a new mobile. I have come across 2 mobiles, LG Optimus 4X HD or Samsung Galaxy SIII based on functionality and specs. Though the pricing and battery life is much more attractive than SIII, but still very undecided between the two as I have never used a LG phone before. Any comment?

Website Video avail on link. We just wrapped up a launch event for the LG Optimus LTE 2 here in Korea, and there's little doubt that it's LG's flagship play. The center of attention is definitely the screen: the phone boasts a 720p, 4.7-inch IPS display that looks pretty great to our eyes. Beyond the screen, the most notable spec is probably the 2GB of RAM LG has thrown in to power both Android 4.0 and LG's new "Optimus UI 3.0" skin. Presumably that much RAM means the phone won't need to make any multitasking compromises, but as LG tells us, "In the Korean market, 1GB of RAM is not enough for LTE phones." The processor is just what we suspected, a Qualcomm S4 MSM8960 clocked at 1.5GHz, though LG claims that it offers significant power savings over the previous Optimus LTE

Dear all.... Anyone using this phone? If so, just wanna check, when doing "syncing", i.e. of a video approx 1.4GB, how long will it take? I tried, and its taking real long and I always stop its sync in order not to wait. Iphone transfer is faster in terms of video.. Any advise?
