Today I came back from work and was pleasantly surprised to see about half of the open-air car park lots were painted with the red & white line format & words painted warning folks that these season parking lots are reserved from 7pm-7am from Mon-Sat & whole day on Sundays/PH. Finally. With a CC hosting plenty of events like dinners & a religious building often with many devotees next to this very popular carpark & a normally packed kopi shop just across the road, residents like me often found ourselves not being able to find lots when back home. Some frustrated neigbours bo bian parked at unmarked areas & kena summons as a result. Despite our many appeals to HDB, nothing was done till now. Hi Brothers, Need some advise and help. My current road tax expires on 29 Dec 2010. Next road tax expires 29 Dec 2011. Current insurance expires 30 Mar 2011 due to me being a second owner. LTA has said I will not be able to renew my road tax unless the car insurance is extended to 29 Dec 2011. However my current insurer Chartis (AIG) said they do not extend insurance more than 6 months. What are my options now? -
just need some advice. My washing machine was bought at more than $1k and 1yr prior to the house being rented out. I have specifically told my current tenants that only low suds washing powder is to be used. However, I conducted checks and found out that they did not heed my instructions and they are terminating the lease due to being posted overseas. Can I like claim a token sum of $300 from their rental deposit as confirmed my washing machine will not last beyond 5yrs? The reasons why I am so sure is because my previous washing machine (same brand) died before 5yrs. The repairman checked and found out that it was due to usage of wrong detergent and my 1st maid admitted to using Dynamo on it. He further advised that once the wrong powder has been used, the damage has been done and it will not last beyond 5yrs. TIA
