  1. Does anyone know what is the time frame for holding the NCD when no longer renew?
  2. Maybe its good for local tourism? or floodgate to overcrowding? SINGAPORE: From next month, the validity of the Multiple Journey Visas (MJVs) issued to nationals from the People’s Republic of China can be extended up to a maximum of 10 years. In a press release on Friday (May 15), the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said the same facility will also be extended to their spouse and children below the age of 21, if the main applicant is eligible. Chinese nationals with a valid MJV need not apply for a visa each time they visit Singapore. The move will provide greater convenience for Chinese nationals, especially business travellers, who travel often to Singapore, said ICA. The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) welcomed the move and said this will make it easier for tourists from China to visit Singapore, and enhance STB's efforts to increase visitor arrival and tourism spending. Eligible applicants will also be able to use the automated immigration clearance at Singapore’s checkpoints, said ICA, adding that more details will be announced at a later date. - CNA/fs

  4. Dear all, I have sold my car in Jan08 and did not own any car since then. I'm planning to get an used car by year-end and do you guys knows whether my 20% NCD is still valid when I get my car insurance? I have heard that NCD will be void if I do not get any car insurance after a break of 3 years. Thank you.
  5. I know that some of the bros here has either used their cell phone or invested in a built-in camera to record road conditions while driving. Should an accident occurs, how valid is this piece of evidence to the insurer or police. For example, can it be used as an evidence to civil sue a reckless driver who caused an accident. More importantly, can it be used as an evidence when there is a dispute during an insurance claim when one party denies or worse turn the story around. An assumption is made at this point that the recording is of decent quality. Thanks for your input.
  6. Just issue a cheque with correct date but wrote the month wrongly (Aug instead of Sept). Can the cheque be cleared or if it have an expiry date to clear the cheque. Ps Ihave send out the cheque. Thanks
  7. Hi...... went to the workshop to check whether basic modification will affect the validity of the warranty...........The answer was "Its depend on case by case basis"......There is no fast rules to say that changing K&N filter will void your warranty......the technical officer told me that if changing spark plugs should be ok, however, if it is not install properly or not done correctly, theu may need to take a look at the warranty again...... My opinion is to stay simple til the warranty expires before start to do basic mod......Moreover, new car performance tends to be better at the begining stage...So just sit back and relax first lorrrr
