Sold for $132k, almost 3 years car. If included the initial $9k of overtrade from C&C (old car left with scrap value), that is $16k/year, not so bad. but again this is supported with the new car overtrade or else it will not able to fetch this price.

I admit I am quite handy with crafts and fixing things around the house but vinyl sticker pasting around the curved centre console edges are definitely one that takes alot of skills. Not something that I can say is as easy as typing the on the keyboard posting on a forum.

 

You have any picture of your own DIY effort? Would like to get some tips and tricks from you if it is possible....

Look at the curves, holes and trimmings to cut out for.......am particularly interested in how you manage to get the curve corners to stick down to the panel without folds or joints.

No offence, but the dash piece do not have the complexity of the W205's centre console piece.

 

A few professional vinyl stickers shops do not even want to quote for the centre console job after looking at the picture of the console.

Another angle of my centre console after sticker job. I sent to a shop at Kaki Bukit to have the central console sticker done. I saw how they did it and It was very painstaking. Many a times, they needed two pairs of hands.  I went back the next day to have it redone as there was peeling around the curved edges after the adhesive settled in. No questions asked and they redid the thing and it's perfect now. I would not dare to do it myself as it requires removal of the panel, posterior connections and the vents.

basically, the whole console panel shud be removed - easier to wrap.

At Robson price, might as well get a replacement centre console piece. There are lots of factory replacement options to choose from for the W205 centre console, with open pore wood in various kind of wood and colour, carbon fibre ones from their C43/63 lines. Direct replacement.

 

Juz get Robson to fix up a similar piece.  Nothing can't be resolve with $$$$$

 

I might be wrong but at current material technology standard, I think they have yet to come up with a vinyl wrap that can decently mimic a wooden surface without looking fake. 

 

Can bros share the contacts for the wrap?
I am keen to find a wooden style, thanks.

Does anyone driving the 7G gearbox experience the car refusing or reluctant to upshift after downshifting, say after overtaking or going up hill? My car sometimes holds on to a low gear longer than necessary.

Example, say I was at 7th gear and accelerate to overtake. The car shifts to 3rd gear and overtakes but after I stop accelerating and goes back to cruising, it still holds on to 3rd gear for some time and only shifts up to higher gears after travelling constant speed for some time.

Wonder if this is a normal 7G gearbox trait or is my box or software got issue.

thats mercedes adaptive transmission for you. every other car manufacturer buys from outside. only mercedes makes their own transmission, thus you hardly see this problem outside of merc.

yes when its very slow traffic and in jams, after that the transmission lugs, doesnt drop gear and  changes up slowly.

Wonder if there's any factory transmission software updates for this..If don't have, I know that there are also specialist workshops outside that do transmission remapping. Wonder if that could be a solution. Driving the car sometimes very pek chek because of this.
