I just collected my QQ this afternoon! Mine is white with brown seats. Loving the new car smell!

Some observations:

1. Now I understand the "lag" when accelerating from standstill. Didn't drive it enough to master the "roll and tap" method some of you guys mentioned as had to get back to work.

2. Auto start/stop has to be turned off every time I start the car? Any way to set it to default off?

3. Eco button - can't really feel much difference whether it's on or off.

4. A bit irrelevant question but here goes - those of you with a child seat, do you put it behind the driver or behind the front passenger? The latter makes more sense so that you can turn around and peep at the little one occasionally but that would mean the leg room of the rear passenger behind the driver is lesser as I have long legs.

Hi all

Soon to be a proud QQ..would like to ask if the turbo needs any special maintenance?

What is the mileage clocked for servicing?

The safest place is the middle of the rear passenger seat.

I can feel your anxiety when you are alone with the baby and he or she is crying.  Turning around and peeping at the little one is very dangerous and highly not recommended when you are driving.  I would advise you to get a child rear view mirror.

Hi Slxm,

Congras !!!

2.  Only if you have the disable stop/start module installed but not commercially available for our qashqai to my knowledge

4.  Please adjust setting for front airbag inside the left side of the glove compartment if leaving child/childseat on front passenger.

Cheers,

Richard

Hi SSS07,

Not that I am aware of ... and not mentioned in maintenance service manual.

Cheers,

Hey, I'm not too sure about qashqai but if the front passenger seat comes with airbag, it is a NO to place baby seat there.

The best location is the 2 rear side passenger seats and not even rear centre cos the front passenger seats can also cushion off collision impact. Centre rear seat not advisable as child may be thrown front in event of collision.

The square thing on the dashboard just below the IU, is it the GPS receiver?

Haha, my SE told me that it is the headlight sensor when you switch the headlight to Auto mode [:p]

Arrived .....

Went down to Aestmod to install for $40. He did not take down my car bumper.....just insert his arms & hands on the side of each bumper and unscrew the inside of the reflector and it pops out in front. All good to go.

hi Kohanson,

The headlights are from here and please state 5000k if you wish to be nearest to DRL but some bros like 6500k which stand out quite a bit which I wish to avoid:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-Sale-1Pair-110W-10400LM-H11-White-For-Philips-LED-Headlight-Bulbs-Conversion-Kit-3000K-4000K/32524884746.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.80.5oJtCu

The licence plate are T10 Philips LED also from Aliexpress but unfortunately the link no longer exists but you may want to try this:

Thanks for the feedback and agreed that I should focus on driving. Decided to put the child seat behind the driver...

I noticed some condensation at my front lights after the heavy rain this evening.. see how it is tomorrow.

Next will have to do something about the hello kitty horn...  :yuush:
