Kelpie 2nd Gear July 4, 2006 Share July 4, 2006 doubt they would establish it in Singapore since most sales would be stolen by Lexus due to brand conscious Singaporeans. Look at Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Civic is priced higher than the Corolla but people still buy Civic. With Acura into the market scene, it gives people more choices to shop for luxury class Jap cars, not just Lexus alone. I doubt Acura performance and reliability is anywhere inferior than the Lexus. Odyssey02 Clutched July 4, 2006 Share July 4, 2006 (edited) in fact, i would rather believe that honda has better reliability based on all the better results depicted in customer satisfaction surveys. the Acura MDX and RDX would be quite a hit here for the SUV market, together with the Acura TL etc. Edited July 4, 2006 by Odyssey02

It should be a matter of time. Regards,

Shull Turbocharged July 4, 2006 Share July 4, 2006 Why do you choose a Honda over other brands? It's the high end brand among the japs/korean brands. What specific feature(s) of the brand attracted you? The 'feel' of when driving..does not have the cheapo feeling when driving it.. Reliability and a good balance between power and efficiency Why does it stand out from other brands for you? Exclusivity..not as common as toyotas, nissan on the road.. Turbonetics 2nd Gear July 4, 2006 Share July 4, 2006 toyota have lexus...honda dun have... actually what i meant was why did he start compare Honda to other cars??? i dun think honda is the best car though not the lousiest.... merc is definitely than Honda anytime...his question isn't very specific... that's why i said above i prefer a Ferrari anytime.... 1. IMHO, your choice of a Ferrari over a Honda is out of context. We are or at least the majority felt that he is comparing the among the Jap cars, though he may not be clear as you've mentioned. 2. Toyota does have Lexus but Honda has Acura, in case you aren't aware of it. Please seehttp://www.acura.com, this is the upmarket version of Honda. Regards, Acura is different story man... its not better than Honda actually.... Acura brand isn't from Japan... its America...
Incubus22 Clutched July 4, 2006 Share July 4, 2006 I do believe that Acura is an upmarket brand for Honda - maybe true for the US market only. My colleagues from US all have the impression that this is so, hence I don't quite understand your stand of "different story". I don't think there is a need to pull Acura into the local market. Might not have the demand.. and besides, to own a (H)onda badge on your car is a good enough story for most Singaporeans who prefers Japanese cars. As the Honda motto goes - The Power of Dreams. Cheers.
