Yes, a direct comparison can be made eg:- Honda Civic versu Merc A160. The Civic wins hands down for engine refinement, space and value for money. The A160 is overly priced for such a small package and the rough engine growls like nothing.

not sure if iam right or not....

the Acura is under the company of Honda America....

and its got nothing to do with Honda Japan which is the mother of Honda...Japan does not have Acura...

that's why i said its a different story...

Lexus is different...its totally under Toyota company even in Japan....

correct me if iam wrong...

well, maybe u r right that Acura is a upper market of Honda...

but i think its very subjective...Acura dun have any Type R specs model...

maybe its more of luxurious edition...smile.gif

Doing a survey on Honda cars. Please answer these qns for me. Thanks

Why do you choose a Honda over other brands?

What specific feature(s) of the brand attracted you?

Why does it stand out from other brands for you?

this is my first honda, and true to say ... i luv it! especially running vtec on nsh! can hear the engine roars! but anyway i may be bias too, since i do like my current ride since i first saw it.

(edited)

Since Sunny is an old model, it is not representative of Nissan's current state of engineering.. [shakehead] Shld be comparing newer models like Latio/March instead. And Sunny's poor FC is mainly for auto (manual is at about 14). In fact, Nissan just turned from red to black last year, right? I'm impressed.. [rolleyes]

Interestingly, Honda announced their recalls recently.. Certainly, that should not made it any less reliable. [laugh]

One thing, however, is undeniable - Toyota is plain and boring [thumbsdown]

To me, Honda is indeed still the most-desired jap car. Got the X-factor [inlove]

2 cts..

Nissan Sunny = overweight underpower car

What do you expect from a point A to point B budget family car?

Is 1100kg overweight? What's the ideal weight for a 1.6L in your opinion?

Underpower? Yes, may be for auto only. If you floor it hard, nothing is underpower. Have you tried the manual version?

Nissan Sunny = overweight underpower car

Madza 3 = overweight underpower car

Toyota Corolla = My brother's old car (He's driving a civic now)

Honda Civic = THE CAR

actually Toyota altis also = overweight underpower car [lipsrsealed]

altis is same BHP as Sunny but heavier than Sunny [:/]

Why do you choose a Honda over other brands?

From previous experience driving a Civic SiR. Honda is best N.A. powered car within budget. Budget the main reason why choose Honda, if have more budget will get other cars. Still living in Japanese car league. Until we make a lot of money, then can we change the league we live in (eg. supercar, continental etc)

What specific feature(s) of the brand attracted you?

Toyota and Honda most reliable brand in Japan so believed in their QC.

Why does it stand out from other brands for you?

The image it portrays is more sporty than Toyota.
