Hi,

I had VS&Grounding installed in my ride recently, for a moment immediately after I get the installation done, the car response was faster and everything seems better..

but after awhile, with no further mod added, I experienced a obvious loss in power and extreme slugginess in my car gear change (Auto tranny).

Had any bro experience something like this before? Any advices to share?

Noobie here.

Thanks ppl.

Previously I installed grounding wires on my Hyundai Accent and experienced the same effects as you. Most likely, the ECU got reset during the installation so you feel your car perform better immediately after the installation. After a few days, your ECU reset itself to factory default setting and everything goes back to normal. Nothing much you can do. Maybe you want to uninstall all your mods and see if things remain the same.

hey, i faced similiar prob too... a clown did grounding for me and my ride couldnt go above 100km/h...i remove grding and ride back to norm.... i suggest u remove the grounding pt at the batt and testdrive if the prob is still there...do the same for the VS but with grounding active...see which one is causing the prob...

can try out what 'evildoer' suggested or it could simply be a case that you've gotten used to the way your car response now.. You will adapt to your car's new found power after awhile so you'll feel like the car is not as responsive as compared to the first time you drive it after the mod.. seems like u gotta mod more to satisfy the thirst for power man.. check the wiring. grounding should be one from the batt to the box and the rest to the chassis, engine etc. there should be no other wired other than ground wires touching any of the grounding kit wires.

So sumthin must have happened in between the time when the installation gave u improvement and the point when u feel it's sluggish .... see what happened then ....go smell the VS ...is the capacitor barbecued?

FYI

Most of our car now running on ECU which is electronic control and is also sensitive to any gadget that you install.

- some of the VS in the market are user friendly to our ECU that why you may find that intial state when you first install it was ok and after that the ide effect come, all you need to do was like some of them that says is to remove the +ve point of the Vs and test your car

- Why after Install Grounding cable the car become sluggish, cost some of the cable are fitted to wrong point that causes it. If you have cable that connected to throttle body, spark plug coil try to remove them and run you car and see what happen (some other position may also cause it to sluggish too)

Same here. I just removed my old VS. I've installed my old VS 6 mths ago. For the first few days everything seems normal never felt any real improvement or deterioration. However after which my headlamps seems dimmer and my car seems alot more sluggish during acceleration. I thought I must have gotten too used to the car.....

However, today I went to the workshop to have order a pair of fog lamps. Upon opening up my bonnet, the mechanic almost shake his head off his shoulders. He indicated that the cables were not connected properly and alot of short cuts were taken. The so-called "Korean" VS is actually an OEM. He pulls off a whole box of thrown VS and several of them look exactly like mine with different brand on it. Mine is "Super".

After showing me his other customer's car, i decided to change my VS to the Japanese "Raijin" one and rewired all the electrical cables with Pivot Cables. The moment I start my engine, the first thing that greeted me was the lost feeling of my engine purring to life again. My ICE also pumps out music that were much more familar when I first gotten the car. I tested it alittle on the way home, the head lamps were much brighter and the car is back to its usual self and is more responsive than ever.

My advice for VS is, do not go to any tom, dick and harry shop like I first did. Go to somewhere more trustworthy... Do not step away when they install it. Look at how they connect it up. It should be well run, and not those all over your engine cover like leftover noodles. Was so happy with the mechanic that I also bought a SUMMIT front tower strut bar from him. hehe...
