KahShield.. or Undercarriage / Rust Protection. Is it worth it?

Don't know how much Kah charges for them but are the really necessary in Singapore where cars are mostly driven for 5 - 7 years...? These days, car bodies are already galvanized and that itself already protects against rust.. then the point of rust protection systems pitch is, you are adding protection, but as far as I know, so long as there is even a crack in the protection, rust might set in, not matter what protection you have.

Any inputs? Thx.

I did Kahshield on my Jazz and I would say save your money for other things. It's not only a 1 time thing, you have to go back for yearly inspection and it costs like almost $50. Plus I hate it when I see my undercarriage all black. Do you plan to keep the car for 10 years? If not, dun bother. Ultimately, it's your call.

Kah Motors SA like to psycho car owners to get Kah Shield, Nitrogeon air for tyres etc.

Save your $$$ and dun subscribe to these craps.

thanks for the feedback. Did not know that even after doing KahShield, you still have to do yearly checks. Then again, even if you do that, and rust or whatever sets in, can you claim against kah? If not, then it's totally pointless.

Kahshield is for prevention of rust to undercarriage.

Many car owners can survive without that, so dun waste $$$ on that.

I was offered free kahshield too. But when I was told about the yearly inspection that needs $$$, I rejected it straighaway.

If it is not a lot of money to pay for then go for it. Just a peace of mind, if you ask me. I don't think you need annual inspection after that.

$300 + GST

I don't remember this expensive then. I managed to get the KM SE to throw it in for free. For this price, you can visit SLIENT to do it, should be cheaper.

Those undercarriage rust preventive thingy is not necessary. Even if you are driving the car for 10 years.. i don't see the gavanised body can get attack by rust they easy.

As for the Nitro air for the tyres.. it's good unless you r travel long journey often. I have that in my tyres too. As i am using 17" with low profile tyres... comparing normal air and n2 in there. n2 is not as bouncing as those normal air and also feels lighter.
