not a 8 owner but like it very much too [thumbsup]

IMO, matching the rotary with an autobox is a waste because the high rpm range will be sealed up. Better get the manual one if u really wan an 8 [thumbsup]

I am driving an 8 6MT from MM. if u wan the auto version u can actually get it from PI.

There are quite alot of them bringing them in.

For the FC what i get best is abt 8km/L. Usually they range from 6.5km/L to 8.5km/L bah.

i dun feel the low end torque as bad as what it state but maybe cos i never drive a rex or evo before. Ofcos the 8 is not as fast as them in straight line but rx8 is known for its handling.

my insurance is about $1400 with 50% NCB. my age is 27. So if no NCB will be abt 3k bah.

The car is consider 4 door so insurance not that bad.

That ex. For a '4-door' 1.3L car. [:p]

Maybe bcos of your age. Or it's classified as a '4-door' sports 'coupe'.

I can't imagine what u have to pay for their in-house insurance package when bought new with 0% NCD. [:p]

bf drove the 5AT when the owner went oversea..... tried the 0-100 its abt 10 sec w/o launch rev..... fuel abt 8/lit if kept at low rev driving.... but the 'horse' onli kicks in at high rev like 6500 & above... rev cut at stock its abt 7300rpm....

if im nt wrong the insurance it's under high performance car category.... nt really tat cheap... but overall a fun car to own still turns some heads.... [thumbsup]

on paper its always seems faster... furthermore the peak 215bhp is at 7450rpm but the rev cut prevents the car from being rev so high......

i make a mistake on my eariler post... its 4AT nt 5AT.... hehe [:p]

High FC is due to the engine design. Rotary engines have high FC.

Put it this way...

For a small displacement that produces equivalent power to that of a much larger piston based combustion engine... the fuel consumed is approximately the same.

That means 1+1=2... you want more power.. you burn more fuel
