How can a distributor sue forum when the forum had been so helpful - giving technical tips and maintenance tips. Regent motors should not bully the consumer in the street.....this is very DISTURBING!!! [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

I, for one, bought a FORD after reading reviews from this FORD CLUB Singapore FORUM....

This legal proceedings really [hur][hur][hur]

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO SINGAPORE??? LITIGATION SUITS HERE AND THERE LIKE IN THE USA ?? DAMNED!!!

care to shed some light?

based on the info provided by some of the owner bros in the ford forum, i bought a focus recently. hence disheartened to hear abt this, au u can imagine. if not justified, i hope they do not win the case. why? unless they show cause in slandering and defamation, against specific individuals, the collective freedom of us as forummers will be lost just becos some corp entity dun like to hear what we gotto say.

Not the first time from this distributor... [thumbsdown]

u mean regent motors has done this crap before ? [mad] wah liau....that's it man.. [thumbsdown]

i mean even when performance was sued over the rusted and leaking 5 series that was mentioned in the newspaper, they defended thier claim and admitted that the car was a lemon but there was no lemon law to make them give the car buyer a one for one exchange.. [mad] .

sigh....that is why buy car must also see your luck... [shakehead]

there used to be a joke that if u buy an alfa romeo/lancia built on a friday or saturday sure suay one cause the factory worker guy only thinking of weekend and not concnetrating on his work in assembling or checking the car... [laugh]

They got no case if everyone take responsibility for their own words but then, there's people coming into forum with hidden agenda and just because AD can't fulfill their request/demand, they come into forum and stir things up. Thus it give grounds for people to sue.

whats going on?

I think it should be discuss openly for the benefit of all potential Ford owners n not hide the truth. If the agent did no wrong, they should open up and discuss.

It leaves a very bad imagine .... [shakehead]

ACtually you don't need a legal expert for all these...

It's common sense. Talk with facts and don't pepper it with other people's name or even hint if there's no substantiate evidences. People can't sue if there's no malicious accusations.

You think the AD is so stupid to carry out legal action just to scare people off? It's most probably the last resort and they have to defend themselves if the grapevine spread like it's real.

But then, I'm never involved in the Ford Forum, so I'm just saying it in general.

Actually you do need a legal expert. Common sense doesn't apply in such cases.

Regent motors doesnt have to prove that the fordforum ppl are guilty.

It's the other way around in singapore - the fordforum ppl have to prove they are innocent.

I don't know how that makes sense, but that's how things work here.
