Sony 1st Gear February 23, 2007 Share February 23, 2007 You are lucky that you are able to get the hub cap. Some are not even able to get it. I think people might be thinking why your colour of your rim so strange and attribute it to be a replicate since it's gun metal. you shd have gotten the time-attack edition. ↡ Advertisement
Sony 1st Gear February 23, 2007 Share February 23, 2007 This is what a forum is all about... but somehow, we shd have a more detail discussion when you have shortlist what you want.
Shemmy Clutched February 23, 2007 Share February 23, 2007 Somehow i feel that the time attack ed would cost so much more.. Especially when they charge for every single detail. eg. colours and cap.. Pocket feel the pinch.
Sony 1st Gear February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 so how much did you pay for yours? size?
Shemmy Clutched February 24, 2007 Share February 24, 2007 Mine is 17" 4/100 with an offset of 40.. It's 800 a piece inclusive of customized colour and cap.. and it's a three month wait period. Was told that it's on the high price but after checking rays website and doing some conversion, it's abt there. Actually, i'm quite please with it though was told that it doesn't suit the car and those crap.. like you say, i'm happy with it's functions.. haha
Sony 1st Gear February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 Eh... if it's 800/pc, I think it's on the high side liao... but buy liao.. enjoy lar... shall reserve other comments. Cheers
Twnll 1st Gear February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 yeah was looking atupgrading the brakes to wilwood for my City but I understand my 15-inch rims may not clear the calipers so may need to move up to at least 16". Change brakes jialat to bank account already, plus change rims will pengsan!
Sony 1st Gear February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 Then change car lor.. or change the way you drive..
Shemmy Clutched February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 There are other options available for daily driving like changing to steel braided hoses and pad while retaining your stock calipers and rotors. Definately a cheaper option than wilwood.. Anyway, are you talking bout a 4 or two pot set-up? Oh ya.. and brake fluids as well.
Shemmy Clutched February 25, 2007 Share February 25, 2007 I'll post pics when it's up.. two and the half months time.
Twnll 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 got steel braided hose already which gives more feel but not any significant improvement in stopping power. Wilood 4-pot I think
Shemmy Clutched February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 Can consider cross drilled rotors? I'm considering BBK as well. but not so soon.. when my rims arrive.. I heard ST powered is selling AP 1 pcs bbk at S$ 2,200.. Cheapest i think.. It's actually possible to customized AP BBK on 16" rims. Can be done at Espace.. Price is a bit steep though. Between S$5,000 to 7,000. Cheers.
Twnll 1st Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 Wilwood may be the cheapest around with complete 4-pot calipers, braided hoses, rotors and pads - probably around 2K
Turbonetics 2nd Gear February 26, 2007 Share February 26, 2007 how about Enkei CPSII?? i was quoted about $175 and this rim should be quite light too. Hi, wondering which shop gave you this quote? For 15" or 17"? From my knowledge, this rim is already out of production. its 15".a good price for 15" though.17" would be damn too cheap. i was quoted at Leong seng more than 1 year back, and in the end i settle for the JS+M which is a new model then.and yes,the CPSII had already stopped production and that was their obnly set left then. Yc86 Clutched February 27, 2007 Share February 27, 2007 (edited) Ok. quick question... - Saw in wheelspec, the Enkei RP-02 weighs ard 15.2lbs, or 6.9kg. why so heavy? - are heavier rims benificial in any way? (traction, stability...etc) - what's the market rate for it, and is it advisable to get it? thx Edited February 27, 2007 by Yc86

Terras14 March 3, 2007 Share March 3, 2007 yeah was looking atupgrading the brakes to wilwood for my City but I understand my 15-inch rims may not clear the calipers so may need to move up to at least 16". Change brakes jialat to bank account already, plus change rims will pengsan! hi, 15 inch can clear wilwood depending on the design of rims. Local wilwood distributor is driven.com.sg, look for joel. Shld be 1.3 to 1.8k range with everything in. rotor, caliper, steel braid hose, pads....hope it helps. btw i fitted in the kit with 15 rim.
