[:|] I was told J model don't come with LS and solar film by my SE, hence I 'upgraded' to G model thinking it was worth the price difference for the things included ...

Sianz ... feel so cheated now. [:(]

J model is too plain, G model just nice for fimaly car, worth of money [thumbsup]

new vios is much heavy than old one, definitely better holding but worse FC [:/]

according to the Toyota website, curb weight is around 1055kg, while gross weight is 1520kg. I think the old vios is <1000 kg in curb weight - not gross weight. Anyway, anyone knows what is the difference between the 2 weight? And anyone knows what is FC for the new vios (auto) ?

with the decrease in FC, an uglier exterior, a more expensive pricing, i seriously doubt Vios can still sell that well.

yes, 1055kg is resonable [nod], almost same as Sunny, altis, Lancer, City, Latio latio

but gross weight 1520kg - curb weight 1055kg = 465kg [thumbsup], carry 5 adults 90kg/Per even Ang mok should be also not problem [laugh]

I am going to book New Vios 1.5E Auto, it's at S$ 53,988 after in-house insurance, finance, and early bird discount. I saw somebody posted here at the price S$ 52,988, hope i am not paying higher?

First-time car buyer, are there things I should ask for prior committing the order ?

$52,988 including the $1K early bird discount previously is the lowest price just before the last COE result. Basically @ $53,988, you are paying $1K more now even after including the early bird discount.

Yes, I verified the price, it was $52,988 prior to this, and $53,988 is only valid until today (end of Monday). The new price list is already out and at $54,988. There will be update after the price of April Coe out this wednesday.

Strange, I was about to make booking today for New Vios 1.5E (A) at $53,988 (as shown over the weekend), and SE suddenly called to say the price is just go up additional 1K to net $54,988. High demand ?

Hang on lah... no point all buyers rushing in... this will only help is pushing up the prices further. Or it could be a sales gimmick... creating false impression of good sales!

Went to BM yesterday to see the new Vios. The exterior is nice, the boot space is bigger, the flat rear seat is a thoughtful feature and the longer wheelbase is much better than before. However, once I sat in the interior it's [shakehead]. The plastic used seemed more hollow and brittle than before. Worst of all is the glove box. When I opened it, it simply dropped on my hand. There's no damper to slow the opening. I thought the quality should be better than the old Vios, granted that it is a budget car, but it seems that the quality hasn't improve much. Moreover, I think that it's a bit overpriced, based on the quality seen. As I didn't test drive it, I can't comment on how's the drive.

in usual, new lanuched car always overpriced lah[thumbsdown]

IMHO, only one con point [:p] if you sat on rear seat, did you realize the head room limitation? [:/]
