Is it a good idea to use a blower to dry the car? I was told that limiting contact with the paintwork will help prevent scratches.

how long can you prevent your paintwork from scratches ?

unless it's a showroom car, and a blower is around. No point getting a blower unless you are the winner of the Ang Bao TOTO last month. blush.gif

why not ? if that is practically feasible.

scratches is inevitable. that's why the sealant and wax is there to sacrifice for the actual paint.

IMHO.
Dry dust on the vehicle is hard to blow.   Use brush.
This kind of blower,  YMMV.

This one from Shopee - I would say hit and miss.  If your car is coated,  acceptable.  But suggest to wear ear plugs. 😆

It's very good.

I know because my MIL uses it.

To blow her hair.

Actually I am thinking of using it to blow the dust from my toilet extractor fan ... Collect lots of dust over time and really a hassle to dismantle and clean. I have a leaf blower but it's wired.

Should be ok.  But may have to use with brush as cleaning is a mechanical action.

P.S.  You can look at the Keelat brand.   They have other tools using the same battery.   I have the above blower and also the handheld  pressure washer.

I use this to blow away the dust on my car, weekly

for car drying after wash, I use a bath towel size microfiber cloth

much faster and took much lesser effort
