side impact beams and door that are sucked in are designed for a reason. The germans didn't invest a huge amount of money on these and other safety features for cosmetic reasons. Most germans cars are designed for high speed long distance driving, not grocery runs in the city.

 

All the performances cars are soo much cheaper than their race bred counterparts. Ever wondered why? So the STI on the SG roads might not be the same as the WRC rally car. Perfomace parts might be similar, but the body shells, chassis, reinforcement enchancements might not be the same.

just to let u know. my unker drove a merc along Paya Lebar PIE, just outside my block at circuit road. huge bang sound. all the residents fr neighboring blocks came down.

 

merc wrap the tree, his front screen smashed. his namecards can b found 8m in front fr his car. died on the spot.

just 2 nights ago i witness a young idiot driving a Golf overshot for about 3-4metres from the stopping line at a traffic light junction.. he casually reverse his car while still holding his mobile close tohis ear and talking.. if he had knock down any pedestrian, i will have bash him on the spot with my titanium 7-iron..
