Hope no one got injured! Big tree covering all lanes. Heard there was a car underneath the tree.

When trees fell, Nparks would always say they have maintain their trees often and most of their trees are in healthy condition, so fallen trees not their fault.

Luckily the car was on lane 1. Consequences would be unthinkable if the car was on any other lane where the big trunk landed.

Honestly, nobody can predict when tree will fall or branches break. The species of trees also count. Once upon a time, we want quick fix and go for instant easy to grow trees. These are more prone to such problems including excavations around their roots due to road works.

Then they try fruit trees with other issues. I want to believe we may not need tall trees but to cover more of the concrete and now glass facade with greenery that are maintainable. Those vertical walls that look so ugly are wild ideas and not maintainable. Some they struggle to replace on weekly basis are definitely not the right move.
