Cklasse 1st Gear May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 The only GPS good for car use is one with a touch screen, big enough words and operates with finger tip touching. Using stylus and looking at small words will take your attention away from the road and of course, the map is one important factor too.
Tehkb Neutral Newbie May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 Garmin is a good choice for GPS
User12343 Clutched May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 depends whether the windscreen is applied with window films. some films have some metallic compounds that may prevent GPS signals from penetrating thru the windscreen, hence the N95 cannot track GPS. Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 Agree, only those dedicated for GPS will have stronger GPS signal like those from Garmin, Nuvi model which I am using.

Rustycar Neutral Newbie May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 (edited) My built-in GPS comes in the form of Dopod P800W. Comes with SirfIII and Mapking R12. no problem getting signal in car, even got signal sometimes in my two storey office area (indoor)! Satellite tracking is quick and on the move it tracks within a minute or two. Only setback is that a prefect visioned person will appreciate it more because of the relatively small touch screen. Djcoolmax 2nd Gear May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 n95 is a AIO thing. Can do is can do, but not necessary does it the best. As mentioned by someone else, the screen is to small and you really have to depend on the voice navi.
Friendstar Supercharged May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 i'm using N95 as my GPS in car its definitely not as good as garmin but i'm not rich so i'm ok with N95 just a simple gadget to play with not hardcore user. =)
Dgwee Neutral Newbie May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 I am also using the N95 in my car. Good enough for me in Singapore. Also, the voice nav is sufficient, don't really have to look at the screen. ↡ Advertisement
