Ok? Normally it will just go straight to idle at ~1.1k, without reving at ~2.5k for 5 secs.. [:/]

Hi, for accent this a normal problem.

How i know, i experiment on this. I tried and able to repeat this for many times. HOHOHO

This is cause by fast crank.

Instead of u crank the car to start and hold it there for about 1 secs to let the car start, u did release the crank too fast.

Thus, there is a current surge from your battery. Nothing to worry about.

If problem persist, check if your throttle cable got problem or not. It should be free from any obstruction.

Its perfectly normal for the ECU to run the car at fast idle during cold starts. If you ask me, 5secs is really short.....

Mine on cold starts will run at ~ 2.5K for about 30 secs... then slowly gets lower at around 1.5K rpm by the 1st min. Then gets lower to about 1.2K rpm by the 2nd min. and finally around 900 at 3rd min.... it takes around 5 mins of warm up for it to get down to ~ 800 rpm idling, by which time the oil temp is like 75deg.

DIfferent car makes & models have their own programming for warm up.

Like for mine, if I want to save petrol, then I just tap the throttle and the rpm drops immediately from 2K ought to about 1.2K rpm for the warm up.

But for some other cars, the tapping of throttle does not do this. [rolleyes]

Bro, it's normal [nod][nod][nod]

Once engine started to warm up, the rpm will naturally reduced [nod][nod][nod]

If your RPM still remains at 2.5K RPM after it has been warmed up then you gonna start worry [;)]
