Bros & Sis,

I was travelling on lane 1 near the above location keeping a safe distance behind the car infront. All of a sudden, a silver or white Honda Odyssey overtook me on lane two and abruptly swerved into my lane (lane one) when he was barely half a car length in front.

I jammed brake and took evasive action but this fella hit my left front tyre body area. [smallcry] I horned him but he sped off swerving in and out of traffic. If any forumers witnessed the incident, pls help me. My car is a silver Focus. Any advice what to do?

Thanks, bros & sis.

did you get the car number plate?

make a police report as hit and run.

hopefully they track down the vehicle before it is repaired.

perhaps then you may have a case.

If you have his vehicle number, you can put him into deep sh1t. Consult doctor to complain whatever pain you have after this accident then report to police. This will definitely get the TP involved. Let TP deal with him. The odyssey driver may have the luck to know Christopher Lee in prison.

What an irreponsible odyssey driver!! [rifle][whip][shakehead]

Newton Circus roundabout is like an incubator for accidents. Traffic always in a mess there, with cars criss-crossing one another's path and shooting out of side roads at the last min. I sweat every time I have to go through that roundabout...

Opps. OT...

Ya....... agree with you.

Had an incident the other day with a cab driver...

Was waiting for the traffic lights (where the bus stop is) to turn green along the road (heading towards Novena area) just outside KK hospital. Then when lights turn green, the cab driver which is on my right start horning me non stop..... I just couldn't be bothered and continued driving!

Everyone knows that road whereby you have to turn slightly right along the lane markings to continue upfront, but this cab driver is just too kuku and kept horning me for being in my own lane! [laugh]

Then another incident is at Orchard area. Another cab driver just drifted into my lane "unknowingly" and kept looking at me as if I'm the one who didn't keep to my own lane!

Wonder how they got their license in the first place! [thumbsdown]

My hubby and I were passengers in his friend's car when we had a similar incident at the exact same spot too! It was with a van. The driver horned and showed the 3rd finger and kept shouting abuse at us. The crazy guy even tailed us to a carpark nearby to continue his abuse. Luckily my hubby's friend is a very tolerant guy and he pulled back my hubby who almost wanted to have a confrontation with the crazy van driver at the carpark. Really mad guy.... [hur]

Sorry to hear about your encounter. I had a close shave myself today on PIE-Changi before the Paya Lebar exit. I was on Lane 3, had signalled right in advance and was filtering to Lane 2 to overtake a vehicle in front of me when this silver OPC from behind just swerved at high speed from Lane 1 to Lane 2 to overtake a vehicle in Lane 1 without signalling. Half of my car body was already in Lane 2. I braked and the OPC just missed my front right fender. If I had filtered any faster, the OPC would probably have hit me. [sweatdrop]

Hope you manage to find witnesses soon. [:)]

Wonder who designed that spot??? We pay road tax and yet it's endangering us??!! [sweatdrop]

On another hand, IF others could changed their attention to see their own respective lanes, then there would be less frustration along that road

Aiya. dun say already lah....

The other time 1 of their traffic lights is faulty. The junction at Sin Ming just where their building is. The traffic jam has been there for quite some time, right under their nose! Till I called them up to report the fault...... then they still asked me "Where?? Where??" [laugh]

I was like [sweatdrop] ........ Tot they have some kind of central monitoring system where it will reflect on their screen where the faulty lights are??? [rolleyes]

are you sure you did not speed up your car to prevent this joker from cutting into your lane?

It would seems unlikely for someone to misjudge the overtaking space in bright daylight.

Did not not make him angry in the first place for him to do such a stunt on you?
