Face it, gone are the days when Swift GTi's & Charade GTti's ruled our roads. Now it's WRX's, EVO's, Combo's & diesel-powered Mercedes taxis & buses. For all the A168 bashing we've been doing here, has anyone even considered that there may just be that someone out there who bought a A168 to play with as a 2nd car (possibly OPC) since it's cheap, then TC the bugger? Maybe even rework the engine internals? I mean, THAT'd be COOL.... A A168 bearing down the road, just as you catch a glimpse of it & ascertain that it's a Chery, you actually hear a BOV going off. SGR84*** bro, u will be plesantly surprise that people took a long time to run in their car. maybe he just stay nearby to his work place, so one day travel 10KM to and fro work a day, so one month work 20 days (assuming 5 days work) that's only 200KM, give him one month go Kallang Mc meet his fellow chery-er two times, that shall take him another 100KM, so now is 300KM liao.... and it goes on like that till 3.5mth later, 1000KM lor... Woh that is really slow run in. I do my first service (1K) in 3rd day after picking up my car from the dealer. I complete 1K in 2 days. My office was just 10KM away from my house then. I have not gone thru the entire 33 page thread, But my guess is that this person maybe never really owned a A168 at all in the first place, and from the manner he was posting, he was fishing for this kind of response from you guys and well...he succeeded in his ruse...and is probably happy that he made so many bros go down for 'nothing' again...and succeeded in making A168 a more unpopular car. The positive side i reckon, from the pic, looks like you guys had fun and it was a chance for some of the MCF bros to meet up some new friends Just my humble 2 cents. I know I'd be stunned man.... At 93 bhp stock, after turbocharging and say did a bit of tuning and strengthening jobs, max is this engine can go is 109 hbp. Now, what is 109 bhp on 4 tiny wheels? Even stock Lancers came in 103 bhp, after modding can easily peak at 127bhp. That is conservative specs. A168 does not equals to 168bhp.
