Where to get cheap battery?

Anybody got place to reccomend that sell conventional "wet" type batteries? i checked arnd sin ming area most shops only got MF type if not the liquid type mfd date v old

 

i dun like MF cos it cant last, my Varta 60ah costs $120+ 10 months ago and now is having difficulty holding charge

if u get varta its definitely more expensive than other mf brands unless u get similar high end ones

 

u can check varta website, they have diff ah and cca batteries

fit the same as ur vehicle stock battery unless u got ice and have upgraded ur alternator

not true MF batts dun last. last time I got written warranty of 1 year.

 

battery life is generally dependent on use/ misuse and heat. must protect ur batt with insulation.

depends on how many AH u getting. but if u think $130 is chop carrot wait till u see deep cycle batts fr Red Top Optima

Lets say have to manually insulate the battery with those air-con insulation stuff or what-not, i'd say the battery sucks

IMO MF batteries cant take the heat, esp in high boost engines that are driven hard and dragged often. its not uncommon that the oil temp touches 210degF and water temp in excess of 250F

oil temp touches 210oF??? eh... fahrenheit? u watch too much mich moore movebee.

 

u forgod the air compartment is open and porous. so there is proper ventilation, the convective heat is not fully trap.

 

when u drive, it is naturally aspirated thru the front grilles, fully reducing the engine bay temp.

 

the insulation is to protect the direct radiant heat to the battery.

 

if insulating is not good, mazda will not waist time to make this a standard, just becos this is an "i" candy.

There are many cars with factory-built battery insulation.

Carmakers understood the killer of battery is the hot underhood temperature.

A cheap standard car battery cannot last long under the heat, unless you are willing to pay for more exotic type like Optima.

This chenhu linked company very generous with sales service and warranty , I reckon only less than a handful can come par with them.Looks like economy of scale is working very well.

CAS warranty is 1yr only

after that they "buy" ur battery back at peanuts price

 

why pay extra upfront, and get peanuts later

just get better prices for varta outside

6 mth warranty is already very tough for sellers as the battery can be easily damaged by poor maintaince, weak or over charging alternator , alternator leaking AC. Most of the time end users will insist on free replacement - they just don't understand or just ignore the term " warranty against manufacturing defects"

 

Garang guni man will normally pay not more than $2.00 per defective battery depending on amp/hr
