sorry bro!

If you want a balance between dry/wet grip, and low noise and comfort, most pple will say GR80. I just changed my Falken 512s to them. quite happy with them. mine is a normal car, so i'm not going for performance or whatnot.

Noise levels needless to say has improved greatly (i think most falkens are pretty noisy but grippy), esp. at lower speeds of <90. i've been very happy with its wet grip in the last 2 days worth of rain. in fact i feel more confident taking corners or negotiating highway slip-offs. but i'm comparing a new tyre with a 30K one. so....

I got them (195/60/15) at PH. $100 a piece. to my surprise frankie (Soh brothers next door) was selling at $120. I think he had no stock that day. I think they quote different people different prices.

what's your budget?

if you need the contacts, let me know.

oh puleeze, NOT ZE512, wet grip is rubbish esp after wearing off only just 20-30%. Oh the noise [shakehead]

Grippy tyres need not be noisy, noisy tyres doesn't mean good grip. They are relatively quiet tyres with good grip.

Hi, looking for other tyre to replace current falken 452, dry/ wet is ok, very noisy. Quite new tyre, sec hand together with the rim.215/45/17

Any recommended on other tyres to replace this tyre. my concern is price, noise, comfort and dry/ wet grip

I am using Federal 595. 225/45/R17. Cost me around S$135/pce (excl GST). I am on my 2nd sets already.

I must warn you that they are made in Taiwan so you may get some stick from more brand or country conscious brothers out there.

Because of the profile, it does get quite noisy but in terms of performance, it really is bang-for-the-buck! Maybe you can speak to some other Federal users (if you can find them) to get a more balanced view instead of just hearing from me.

Bro,

Honestly, it depends on how much you love your car. If you love your GF/wife, you would definitely buy her quality stuff right? For example, will you buy a pair of cheap sandals that would make her fall to a certain death on the wet floor or quality ones that offer better grip in the same condition?

Some claims certain brand gives him more confidence driving thru certain corners, seriously, without statistics I can easily claim that my new set of tires flies around him in the same corner [laugh].

End of the day, go according to your budget. If you can only afford something less of quality, go for cheapies around $100 per piece but I would not suggest trying corners with them and there is a reason why sports car uses bigger than average joe's rims for better grip.

Bro,

Yes, I was on the Feds before. It is value for money but lately I have changed camp since its pricing exceeds its value.

It provides decent road holding in very wet condition but do take note of its lack of grip in wet corners. The noise level does become noticeable after only a month's usage.
