Dipstick Neutral Newbie December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 It's like trying to buy medals........When the medals are won by FTs, somehow I do not feel a sense of pride. In fact, I feel rather embarrassed and ashamed.

Potheader Clutched December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 support duathlon and triathlon this sat and sun at the SEA games!!! 101% (except for PRC triathlon coach) homegrown, and the chances of getting a medal is quite high! SG got men's gold and women's bronze in triathlon in the last SEA games, so do watch out for them again this year!!!
Fortress Clutched December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 (edited) At the rate we are going, we must as well buy the medals instead of the talents. Edited December 5, 2007 by Fortress

Albeniz Turbocharged December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 After sucking $$$ from the gahment by winning the monetary award for medals, it's time for Ah Dong to retire comfortably in China liao. We have all been taken for a ride by some of these FTs. Victims of these swindler FTs range from gahment level to old Ah peks who have just withdrawn their retirement CPFs. Nutty 4th Gear December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 But James Wong is a sportsman that I respect. At least... he's a true blue Singaporean who sacrificed his youth training real hard. This is something most of us will not venture into.

Sosaria Twincharged December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 (edited) what wrong with all these FT athletes ah?? there's these other 2 zar bor throwers also zhao back to china never say right, end up also got the sack? what's up, attitude problem... Basically, these FTs were never very high standard in the first place. In their own country, they are not good enough to be selected for their national team, and who knows, could be their attitude causing the problem as well. So, not surprising that they cannot do well here also. Same with some foreign students studying here. In their own country, they're actually only average students from not-so-well-known schools. In fact, most end up just a little bit better than average local students. So why pay $ to get them here? Edited December 5, 2007 by Sosaria
Sosaria Twincharged December 5, 2007 Share December 5, 2007 But at least, I respect these people for speaking up and openly admitting that the scheme was a failure, without hiding behind carefully-constructed phrases and excuses...
