Staring incident... i very scared leh...

got into this staring incident on the way to work... i'm absolutely traumatized... below's an account of what happened....

i was driving to work along Gentle Road to work at RH. Its a small 2 direction (1 lane each) street. An incoming Beemer infront on the opposite lane was trying to turn right into his house gate (which is on the left of me). I slowed down, gave way and let him turn infront of me.

A COE Nissan Sunny behind of me was pretty impatient, overtook into the opposite lane (no incoming traffic), cut behind the Beemer and proceeded.

The Beemer slowly cleared the road and I proceeded.

The next car behind me, a black 407 with 'P'-plate, perhaps thought that I shouldn't be slowing down to wave the Beemer on...I was causing a slow down of traffic...my act was making him precious time, tried the same stunt and cut into the opposite lane... but this time got incoming silver Toyota Picnic that he didn't see! 407 had to e-brake and turn back into the correct traffic lane. This made him real mad as he is back again behind me.

What took the cake was, after the Picnic cleared, he did the same cut-into-opposite-lane stunt.. but this time he choose to travel parallel to me (on the incoming traffic lane) and stared. Well, if he was rushing for time he should had completed the stunt and move along. Satring for a good 50m, I waved my index finger at him signalling that the stunt he is performing is dangerous and un-called for. If stares could break windscreens... dear Mr 407 (with his huge bluetooth ear-piece on) would had broken my car window.

Now back in office, recalling the incident give me chills down my spine... I'm really worried that after the incident, we might meet again on the road and something might happen... I worry that he might pull over and challenge me... I worry that I might get hurt from a road rage incident... how? make police report?

Oh, BTW, I was worrying that my hand will get hurt when I punch his face in [:p][lipsrsealed]

Dun worry much on such incident. It is very common in SG. There are many impatient drivers on the road and they will learn their lesson thru hard ways.

Neutral Newbie

the root cause of the whole incident is solely cause by YOU. By looking at the statement that you wrote "i was driving to work along Gentle Road to work at RH. Its a small 2 direction (1 lane each) street. An incoming Beemer infront on the opposite lane was trying to turn right into his house gate (which is on the left of me). I slowed down, gave way and let him turn infront of me. "

You should not slow down, gave way and let the beemer. You should just carry on drive, it is beemer responsibility to stop, wait and ensure the opposite lane is clear of traffic before turning into his driveway...as beemer wants to turn, naturally his lane will be jam because he has to stop and wait, whereas your lane, you are driving straight and you have no reason or whatsoever to stop and give way. Because of your act, it cause both lanes to have slow down of traffic...if i am the driver behind you, i will honk, stare and probably show my international sign but will not hit you....though your act to some ppl is consider gracious but given 2 lane conditions, you are just making things worst.
