Hi Hiphiphory, congratulations on your new ride. Sonata is also on my list. But from what I checked (on sgcarmart), almost all the asking price of 2+ yr old (made in 2006) Sonatas are between 43K - 49K! they are still a far cry from the price you mentioned above (sub 40K+). Unless can chop 5K+ off the asking price! PM me if you got good lobang! [;)]

Would you mind telling us the percentages of highway/urban you drive? The FC only make sensens when the driving pattern is known. Thanks.

Now u can get @ sub 30+k liao for a 3 yr old Sonata.

Get this a white one. [inlove][inlove][inlove]

Hi bro, thanks for the infor. yes the price look more attractive now. Is it becoz of the petrol price? Actually I've been waiting for a right 2.0l to come. Maybe can save a little bit on petrol and tax?

Have you record your car's FC recently? can shar boh?

HipHIpHoray

Same here. My Sonata 2.4L is also getting a similar FC to yours.

Was thinking of putting in multiple CNG tanks until the Special Tax issue came out.

Now, thinking of putting in a piggy back ecu to make the FC more efficient. Hoping to get 10km/l

Torque and Power using the +/- is quite good except that the auto has a lag....

Ya.....i read the CNG special tax until sianz 1/2.

I too wonder if the ECU got problems or not. 8-8.5km/ltr really suxs man. The fuel mark drops beri fast.

Can any ordinary workshop check on the ECU ? Or die-die must go back Komoco ?

Hi all,

actually sonata is a very nice car to drive. the 2.4 is much better than the 2.0. if drvien correctly, the gear ratio is taller for the 2.4 and u can do 2,000rpm at 100km/h, thus consumption will be better.

many brothers here, i believe, due to the better power of the 2.4, will tend to b more heavy footed, so high fc.

when i was driving the 2.4 previously, i was getting between 9.8 to 10.2km/l. wat to complain for such a stable and big car?

to me, u get the space, quietness, stability, comfort, low price (compared to jap 2.4 cars), fc i think is better than the mit lancer 2.0 (any brothers got the info for it?)

jus enjoy the ride.

its your driving habit that determines the fc. oh ya, if u park in multi-storey car parks which is always full n u tend to go home late at nite, it also increases your fc drastically.

p.s. if they were to bring in the V6 engines, it will be the 3.3 litres (azera engine) not the 2.7 engine for santa fe.

believe me.

its the fun of driving a 2.4

thats why u'r heavy footed

personally, when i drive relative's markx, the fc also suck big time.

but most importantly, u enjoy the ride!
