Congrats on getting your new ride. It looks very well maintained in the pic.

I never knew a 2-3 yr old Sonata is slightly more than $40k only. Good deal. [thumbsup] If I had known, may have considered it 2 years ago. But the FC sure is a killer for me. Maybe I'll wait till a CNG refill station is set up near my place.

That day I sat in a new Sonata cab back from the airport. Wow! very powerful. Engine just hums along with some road noise. Very smooth ride.

ya if only sonata has rear aircon and multi function steering wheels

quite worrying if keep on stall.

Even the Chevy Optra CNG, the Straits Time report said it stalled 4 time during the test drive [jawdrop]

If not, I should consider CNG soon.

Your Picnic is perfect for CNG as it has a sunken boot, you can hide the tank inside. [thumbsup]

I was not thinking about resale value. If can drive all the way till 10 years old with no major issues, should be a steal with annual depreciation approx $4.3k pa ($45k less OMV of $15k divide by 7 remaining years). This $4.3k is like the annual depre for my 1.5l Latio. But 2.4l vs 1.5l. I lose hands down. [furious]

That is what I said, very good value for a 2.4l car [laugh]

My current car depreciation per year is $6.9k, even if I drive till 10 years, and it is 1.6L Jap [dizzy]

You can actually get a 2 1/2 yr old Sonata for less than 40k. There are 2 owners advertising their Sonatas for 38-39k in Sgcarmart. One of them only has a mileage of 42k. With some bargaining should be able to get it for 36k or so. A repossessed Feb 2006 2.4 Sonata was recently auctioned for about 31k + in Sgcarmart. So you know what kind of prices dealers are offering to these owners (max 35k) and what kind of profits they are making trying to sell it above 40k.

must look at condition also

HHH got 17 inch rims. and lid spoiler etc

nothing too fantastic

but he felt that the deal was good and he's comfortable with it.

that is the most important

Your depre very high. What 1.6l Jap car you driving? [sweatdrop] Your car price is around $84k (assume OMV $15k)?

I think the deal overall is acceptable. For my trade-in lancer, they took in @ 20k. Most likey they will convert it into a normal plate which will cost 13k. Hence value = 33k. For a similar lancer @ the same age in SGmart, its selling at 35k. Plus they have to do up the lancer for sale. Dont think they earn much from my lancer. [cool]

U have to let them earn something right ? They also have familes to feed. 45k for the Sonata, is oredi a good deal to me. Whatever the profits they earn, i have no problems with it. Have to give & take rah. [nod]

Of course we can get a better price direct from owners, but i do not want to go through the paper work myself. I've oredi tons of KIV work at my office. [:/]
