many commented high fc too for is 250. but wat is high?

 

for me, i love the car very much, its reli a driver's car, quiet, smooth.

 

i m getting between 11.8 to 12.2km/l, wat more can u complain? for a V6, 2.5litre rear wheel driven car, this fc is fantastic. like i said, its how heavy footed u r, n i m not a slow driver

Hi Hiphiphory, congratulations on your new ride. Sonata is also on my list. But from what I checked (on sgcarmart), almost all the asking price of 2+ yr old (made in 2006) Sonatas are between 43K - 49K! they are still a far cry from the price you mentioned above (sub 40K+). Unless can chop 5K+ off the asking price! PM me if you got good lobang!

 

Would you mind telling us the percentages of highway/urban you drive? The FC only make sensens when the driving pattern is known. Thanks.

 

Now u can get @ sub 30+k liao for a 3 yr old Sonata.

i left komoco last year

 

well, i was doubtful b4 i got the is250 as many people in the forum commented tat it is doing 8-8.5 km/l.

 

there is info on the meter of the car, it shows 7.9l/100km to 8.2l/100km, so it works out to be abt 12km/l. every tank i will do about 580 to 600km before light appears.

 

like i said, its the driving habit, and also, must know the car characteristics to max. the performance the way u wan it :)

 

of cos i dun race with others or always test the 0-100km/h timing

 

 

p.s. i believe i can do 14-15 for civic and avante :)

personally, when i drive relative's markx, the fc also suck big time.

 

but most importantly, u enjoy the ride!

 

I did test-drive a Mark-X some weeks back. The seats beri hard, pick-up so-so only. Engine sound is a bit louder than the sonata. The interior is much smaller too.

 

Cefiro is a much better car.

My FC kindof suxs now. 8-8.5km/ltr only. Maybe bcos its a 2.4ltr bah.

 

Furthermore i travel 80% city road now.

 

I think it is the engine is not efficient enough. my 2.5l turbo legacy constantly gives me 9 to 10km/l.

Ya.....i read the CNG special tax until sianz 1/2.

 

I too wonder if the ECU got problems or not. 8-8.5km/ltr really suxs man. The fuel mark drops beri fast.

 

Can any ordinary workshop check on the ECU ? Or die-die must go back Komoco ?

One Con of this car is the psychological effect. The fuel metre drops dang fast

I go from Katong to Kallang Bahru and back, 2 or 3 notches down.

Surprised to hear that mark x engine sound louder than sonata.

I didn't test drive mark x but I found cefiro 230 responsive from 50kmh onwards.

But anyway, how is pickup/handling of mark x as compared to cefiro 230?

I actually prefer mark x outlook.

But too bad, its high centre transmission tunnel!

yeah.... interior looks good

Can feel the car is heavy when picking up speed. Definately need to step on it. Steering wheel a bit too stiff for my liking. Rear passenger place is no difference from my ex-cs3 lancer. The hand-brake is replace my the foot brake. Looks fragile.

 

The only good thing i like is the exterior look.........damn chio.

 

Havent try the Cefiro b4. Maybe one fine day bor liao go test drive one. hehe.
