Southpark2000 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 - dunno but I suspect that since both are pretty good at repelling dust, dirt, grime, etc. etc. - it would imply that it's very hard for one sealant to be topped over by another....hence the "peeling" I would b v. concerned if EGP can stick onto Fusso (teflon - how to stick) and vice versa (means chemcials can stick onto the sealant) Maybe u can try it and see if it works and share results... for me the "peeling" occurred say 2 mths after application - whilst washing the car. I wash weekly... Southpark The Dude ↡ Advertisement

Edrollbrick Neutral Newbie May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 Actually peeling of the teflon? or loosing the effects of beading?
Southpark2000 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 (edited) [reply] Actually peeling of the teflon? or loosing the effects of beading? Peeling of the teflon. Beading is still there cos' got EGP beneath. Errr...... Need to read in context....wait kanna misquoted. Had SRP topped with EGP; then topped with Fusso 12 the week after. Fusso "peeled" after 2 mths. Beading is present. Suggests that peeling was due to Fusso not being able to bond well with EGP which sat on top of car. Did not have peeling when I only had Fusso on my ride. ....Similar situation as having sealant on top of wax..... Hence, need to be aware / mindful of what can be layered and what cannot be. Also shows that EGP is doing its job.... Hope that helps Southpark The Dude Edited May 30, 2006 by Southpark2000
Root Neutral Newbie May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 If u're using Klasse twins, the AJT would be good as a QD, cos its acrylic based. IMHO is meguiar's quik detailer matches klasse? the bottle stated "clear coat safe", "enhances gloss & protection", "in between waxing" & "for fast touchups on all paint finishes" never state if it is acrylic base
Ixat 1st Gear May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 AIO can remove to certain extend of bird poo poo and tree sap but once they're baked under the sun for a while and oredi etched into the paintwork Hullo, so how should I prep the surface before AIO and HSG? I saw a Soft99 Cleaner & Polisher today, would that do? Does it affect AIO and HSG later on?
Marcostan 4th Gear May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 Actually u can use any QD. Now meguiar hv 20% discount in DIY shop it's time to stock some.
Marcostan 4th Gear May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 Bro IXAT, AIO itself is one of the best paint cleaner (Chemical). So, it's not nesscessary to use any other product to prepare the surface before use AIO. Repeat using AIO can help to reduce the mark of Bird Drop, Tree Sap & Watermarks. Of course if you use product like Scratch X before AIO to do some minor correction of Swirl or Scratch is also can.
Rontheman Neutral Newbie May 30, 2006 Share May 30, 2006 Agree with MarcosTan that it is not necessary to prep the surface with other cleaners as AIO itself is a cleaner. However, if you have not clayed your car before or have not clayed for 6 months or more, you might want to consider a claying job prior to applying AIO. Additonally you might want to touch up any dents, scratches or swirls prior to that.

Swishbrade Neutral Newbie June 4, 2006 Share June 4, 2006 To all bros and sis! Need some help! What happens when you have too much water in your applicator and buffing cloth while applying and buffing SG? Quite a lot of water seeped out from the panel gaps while I was applying SG by WOWO last night, and after finishing, I pulled the car out to the sunlight....to my horror, I saw some funny hazy reflections that look like the product not being properly removed. But it doesnt buff off and it even changes shapes and patterns!!!! Am I seeing things? Is that what you guys term as hazing? How do I go about removing it? Will another WOWO SG application rid them? Desperately need help! Thanks to all!
Marcostan 4th Gear June 4, 2006 Share June 4, 2006 Bro SWISHBRADE, Another layer of SG can remove it. This time dun forget to wire out the water as much as possible before you start to put SG. MarcosTan
Swishbrade Neutral Newbie June 5, 2006 Share June 5, 2006 Dear Marcos...that's great news! Thank goodness I dont have to start all over again! May I know if you have any tips on getting the water out of the crevices and panel gaps? I thought of driving around to get the water out, or waiting for a few hours for the water to dry up, but the car may collect dust. What do you practise? Thanks again Marcos! Marcostan 4th Gear June 5, 2006 Share June 5, 2006 Bro, What I mean in my reply was to wire out the water from the applicator. Regarding the water after wash, u can use WW dring cloth try to absorb the water from the panel gaps. Or, let the water dry by itself, it may take hours, in this case you can use a damp WW cloth to clean whole car again before you apply SG. Swishbrade Neutral Newbie June 5, 2006 Share June 5, 2006 (edited) Thanks bro Marcos! No worries, I will roll the aplicator with a rolling pin to make sure that it is dry before making the same mistake again ! The damp MF idea is good Panel by Panel 1) Damp MF 2) Thin SG 3) Wipe off Xie xie! Edited June 5, 2006 by Swishbrade
Chuabc Neutral Newbie June 5, 2006 Share June 5, 2006 for your additional info, always buff with a dry cloth. using a damp cloth to buff off AIO or SG will not be able to give u a gd result.
