vios auto, 1.5l, current ave is 14.8km per litre after 23 top ups.

 

65% highway, 35% city.

Shell 95 with V Power every 5000km or when discount to 98 price(now at 10900km after 4 months)

Blow soot - 2nd gear to ~5500rpm (100km/h) once every week.

 

Just changed to Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30, so hopefully FC gets better.

wah...if petrol coy do this type of thing to us, the we really boh pianz already. Here squeeze, there squeeze, in Sg, middle class kena squeezed till dry dry...How? Any ideas how we can squeeze back?

pedal on pedal off won't that kill your drivetrain? It's like introducing additional wear cycles to the driveshafts and transmission.

My AR GT:

 

Worst (using 10W60 fully Syn & ULG 95): 9.0 km/l

Best (using 5W40 fully Syn & ULG 95) : 10.8 - 11.0 km/l

 

Been getting consistently around 10.9km/l for the last 4 tanks top ups. 50% HWY 50% city.

Quite heavy footed, redline once a week....

 

Oh yeah, did the lighten crank pulley mod after switching to 5W40....probably a factor in the getting the higher numbers

My lau-pok presea is ~9.5km/liter and I am driving a manual. Driving since yr 2001.

Nissan FC is really quite bad considering presea is not a heavy car at all.

 

Anyway to improve the FC significantly?

Dont think soo, unless you whack the accelerator hard when you reapply the throttle again. The drive train should be rated to take a certain amount of stress under normal loading to allow us to do soo.

 

Been doing it to other cars(not mine) and see no significant wear to drivetrains due to it.

 

But for people who brake for nothing when in a straight road with no obstacle in front then it might be a prob.

FC = 13.4km/L

 

Everything stock accept taken out spare tyre, which weights 11.6KG

FC of 13.4km/L is quite remarkable.

 

I wonder if the grades of Fuel have any effects on FC.
