Philipkee Twincharged April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 No man ever on his deathbed said I wish I had spent more time at the office For those of you who are managers, remember this 1) Your workers are also humans, with their own lives, worries, dissappointments and joys 2) Efficiency can only go so far. Perfect efficiency requires robots, not humans 3) Throwing money at workers to make them work longer hours can only go so far before they breakdown or quit Let's remember the contributions of our workers this labour day.

For ppl who are managers they have to cross these lines to reach where they are now. Anyway for F&B, retail sectors and etc they have to work . No choice. Given the restriction on foreign labour want to take off also not easy. There's just not enough manpower. Wherever you go you will see notices for recruitment in these sectors. For ppl who are able to enjoy a public holiday such as Labour day it's considered a privilege.

That's why I always show appreciation to workers in the service line, and treat them with respect. I address them as sir and ma'am, even if they are younger than me. It is a privilege to be served and so we should show our gratitude.

Philipkee Twincharged April 30, 2015 Share April 30, 2015 my boss is a frickin' ar$eh()le We are working tomorrow and Sat . . . sheeeesh! I always favour my workers. I tell my nurses "Either we survive as a team, or we die as a team." I try to give as much benefits to them as possible. Yea, sometimes my hands are really tied but at least I try to fight for them. I always believe that the leader is there to make the hardest decisions, decisions that might even make him unpopular with the higher management but he has to do it, simply because he is the leader. So far still not sacked
