Wonder where to get 2nd hand one... I got mine at Fong Kim. If u want to find 2nd hand exos, then gota look in forums liao. Bt gota pay for transfer and inspection fees. Chickenbackside 1st Gear September 13, 2008 Share September 13, 2008 I'm one of the people who voted "regret". For me, the power gain was simply not worth the noise. Cruising on the expressway was a constant torture with all the droning. Add the extra droning from your family and friends commenting non stop that they have to shout in my car, and it becomes even more torturous. There's also the issue of attracting unnecessary attention. Everytime I drive past like a restaurant or something, I would have to make extra effort to make sure the engine is at idling speed in order not to disturb other people. So on my current car, no exhaust modifications. So peaceful. I can also floor the accelerator without attracting any attention. Perfect.

Tzehou Neutral Newbie September 13, 2008 Share September 13, 2008 I vote to regret too. Most exhaust are usually catered to the mid to high range rpm as they are used for races. Its not as if you drive on 4000rpm onwards everyday. Its crazy to do so with today's fuel prices unless you're super rich. Low end suffer as a result and you end up moving off slower and need to depress the accelerator more. In addition, you get unwanted attention as a 'racer boy' or just trying to 'hao lian' infront of other people. Hiaz... a few of my friends learned the hard way when they found their cars scratched badly and some.. even dented as a results of their loud exhuast on their rides. No joke. So end of the day, unless my car is those super expensive cars like a lambo or ferrari which can't be helped, I won't want my exhuast to scream so loud. For what? To impress girls? To gain more horses? Or to create unwanted attention? Think again...

Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 (edited) After much deliberation, i finally went to install a Remus exos today. I was kinda surprised that it wasnt as bad as i thought. Low end loss not that obvious. But definitely driving is much more smoother. Soundwise, its a lil bassier than stock. Now to vicom to get my ride inspected and Edited September 29, 2008 by Mzrmazda3
Dscheng 3rd Gear October 24, 2008 Share October 24, 2008 Remus exhaust sound sweet.. Like mine. It only sound fierce when i rev about 3K.
AhBao9388 1st Gear October 24, 2008 Share October 24, 2008 i do regrett abit when i change my xos coz the stock xos is a very well designed one. but all is well again when you got to hear its xos note. suffer abit on low end but the high end does improve abit more. u gain some u lose some, there is no perfect mod when doing up your car. Turbonetics 2nd Gear October 25, 2008 Share October 25, 2008 (edited) actually i don't think it will affect very much. maybe none at all. those approved exhaust are mainly for looks and better sound. Edited October 25, 2008 by Turbonetics
Yewhiong Neutral Newbie October 27, 2008 Share October 27, 2008 Does changing the exhaust affect the FC? Is it heavier than the stock?
Lucien Neutral Newbie October 27, 2008 Share October 27, 2008 Exos mods is only good if you running extreme air intake. Eg. F.I. or cam lifts timing. Where by cyclinder output is much more that wat the stock exos can spit out. If you're the norm petrol head with a few minor mods here and there, just keep it stock. No point messing with it. Lucien Neutral Newbie October 27, 2008 Share October 27, 2008 For your qns. The weight does not matter. It almost weights the same. FC may drop, because of a bit of lost power in low rpm. Thus the need to get car to rev up faster and keep it in mid rpm range to stay in power band. ↡ Advertisement
