i've only tried up to 195km/H on my humble Alfa 147 1.6 pre-facelift.

 

anyone done 180km/h in CTE tunnel ? i've done that on my alfa 4 years ago.

 

now i old liao and car also old liao..... dun dare to do such stupid thing again..

205KM/hr for my Legacy 2.0R..seems like still can go further. Very stable on car. Still can hear the music from my Macintosh quite clearly.

for my own car lancer ex 1.5,

On the 1st occassion,i had a race wif my fren, carwas being push to 170km/hr at AYE after the speed camera, i did alot of defensive driving cause got alot of car

 

2nd occassion is 160km/hr at mandai road, no car on road so cheong

think can go up to 200km/hr but dun dare to push on furthur cause sg quite limited road

In 1987, my accord 1.6 could only manage at 173 max in the NSH and no matter what I did the car just couldn't go faster except when down hill it touched 175 [furious]. After that, I told myself that my next car must hit at least 200. So I changed from accord to citroen in 1992. That car I managed 215, though the terminal speed was 217 [thumbsup]

if touch wood, your car buang..still ok..but if implicate other cars..then you can kiss your car+lisc goodbye..

it doesnt mean that heavy rims will have stability.

 

a good reputable light weight rims would give u equal if not better stability.

 

just try not to get those cheap taiwan rims. i heard alot of horror stories about them. i have personally seen one w/o spooks after an accident. and one that is horribly dented too..

Whoa! Just realised this thread was ressurected from like 2 years ago! Nowadays the sentence "more than 200km/h" no need to be followed by 3 exclamation marks bah...normal speed on NSHW and sometimes on TPE... ^_^

200ish km/h on a british rover sedan. 19 yr old then. a Nissan Fairlady jio me race, was running side by side at 200ish and suddenly the Fairlady decided to step on the gas, and it just zap to the front... all 3 friend in car say this car louzy... :( decided to slowly reduce speed and find a place to pee...

 

recent heights: 175km/h on a BMW E36 320... the 6 potter's roar is sweet at this point, I vaguely remember it's about 5.5-6k rpm...

 

recent check with m'sia tp indicate I got a sumon... lan lan... wuahahahahaha
