we should not assume that he is the criminal behind this robbery

possible scenario

1. he was kidnapped worse killed by the "real" theft who wants to make it look like Jerry is the guy

2. For all you know it may be an inside inside job, that is the company knows it is going into financial trouble and stage its own robbery to claim from insurance and this had been done before

3. I dont think our police is capable of such high profile robbery, when MAS was lost to never never land, I was about to call Michael Jackson for help because when he crosses the zebra crossing ... now you see him and now you dont

the world and the media is filled fill assumptions and lies

to survive they need to sensationalise the story

or to distract us from the real issue in singapore

Then, where is his whereabout. He go toilet?

Turbocharged

Any examples of countries which are not bound by Interpol?

We are particularly interested in countries which have a reasonable standard of living and yet not bound by interpols.

Sorry, I am a novice in this area. [laugh]

if you have SGD8.9m..you can get THE BEST standard of living ANYWHERE on earth..excluding antartica..

I would like to pose an open question to all our folks in this forum:

If you have stolen S$8M and is a wanted man by Inter-pol, what would you do to prevent yourself from being captured.

Simple. Just go to any ang moh country. If you ask an ang moh if they saw this guy, they will tell you every Asian guy looks the same to them.

But b4 going to an ang moh country must get rid of the loot elsewhere first.

He should have his own loban to offload those watches since he is in this trade for so long and if he don't have the mean to offload it then why steal it in the 1st place? For fun? I don't think so.

He can still sell it in the black market. I dun think it's that simple like most of us think. Or else he be caught by now.

He must have figure out how to move so many watches out of sg. He must have ways to sell the loot. And he certainly have planned where to hide for good.

I dun think it's a spur of the moment for him to steal so many watches. He must have it cleverly planned all the way. He's not a newbie in this line of work. Serial no. on the watches, you think he dun know what it is? What are rare watches? He must have buyers or else he wouldn't be so bold.

S$8m is the cost of the watches. Usually stolen goods will sell for very much lesser. Plus he's now a wanted man... buyer can cut the prices further down. If i'm the buyer i would probably offer him $1.5m for the whole lot. Ka char!! [knife]

while most of us had almost forgotten singapore most wanted man of 2008(Mas Selamat Kastari).

now we have another most wanted man of 2009(Jerry Ee).

A FORMER employee of the Cortina watch outlet that was cleaned out of $7.9 million in timepieces and cash on Christmas Day is now a wanted man internationally.

Mr Jerry Ee - who has been missing since the theft was discovered and got the sack from the company - has been listed under Interpol's wanted list for theft.

This came in the form of a red notice - the same alert level used for escaped terrorist Mas Selamat Kastari - against the 35-year-old to the international police organisation's member nations.

This means that any of these 187 countries can arrest him on the spot and extradite him to Singapore.

Mr Ee's height and weight was given as 1.62m and 50kg on the notice, which is available online and included pictures of him. He is stated as being conversant in English, Mandarin and Thai.

The international alert against him comes after the Christmas Day heist - said to be the biggest burglary in Singapore in years - at the Cortina outlet at Raffles City.

Staff at the Raffles City outlet discovered 386 timepieces and cash - with a total value of $7.9 million - missing when they turned up for work on Dec 26.

Security guards who were on duty on the night of the incident said that no alarms had gone off, and there were no signs of a break-in at the store.

Mr Ee has has been missing since the theft was discovered, with police attempts to contact him futile.

He had worked with the luxury watch retailer for at least four years and is divorced with two young children.

this guy must be driving a performance car in thailand now

I agree with you..I think he must have planned it meticulously for a long time...being in this line for so long dun think he is stupid enuf not to realise the watches have serial numbers..think he must have had some contacts ready before staging such a big theft..you can't just steal and then start to think of how to get rid of them...by the time you figure out, you would have been captured alr..
