Booboon 1st Gear January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 Woke up 8am today and went down stairs wanting to wash my ride. Went downstairs, washing bay is full. Went for breakfast and return abt 10am, its again full with diff car. So decide to drop by my mum place to pass her some new year goodies. Came back 2pm washing bay also full, ppl polishing and waxing their ride at the washing bay. It seems like ppl only detail their ride during CNY. Anyone has the same experience as me? ↡ Advertisement

Silver_blade Turbocharged January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 Either wash in the wee hours or during CNY.
Four4s 1st Gear January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 yah.. either wash in the wee hours of the morning (easier too cos water won't dry on your car as fast), or go to some place like a JTC factory and get "free" water there... always see a lot of taxis doing that. Drive_carcar Clutched January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 I went to petrol kiosk for a quick wash last night, then drove to the highest level of MSCP to wax my car. When I finished, it was already 1am... very shack... I guess it's CNY, so many people also detailing their cars. Even all the way up at 4th level, already got a few kindred bros like me, detailing their ride. Usually I'm alone doing such things late at night. Babyt 4th Gear January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 i took half day leave just to wax my car.... anyway i wont wax at the washing bay coz the place is wet after washing and we need to be considerate right? ;)

Valentino Neutral Newbie January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 Made appt at groomwerkz to polish car yesterday. Went there early in the morning and suppose to have a courtesy car so that i can still go to work. (i made the request upon booking already) However, reach already and I was told that the courtesy car not available. Quite unhappy with it as my office was in tampines while groomwerkz was at commonwealth. No choice got to drive off with my car again to go to work as i had a meeting soon after... So now no chance to polish the car anymore as they are fully booked liao...
Starian Clutched January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 u know what i did when i see inconsiderate ppl, who think that washing bay is for washing+detail+wipe dry? When they are doing other things other than washing, and there is no more space, I will park the car in front of them, and super near them, and do my washing in front of their car, and will make sure I splash water happily and of cos this will annoy them, and they will auto move out... Starian Clutched January 24, 2009 Share January 24, 2009 well, I never say I m right, but since they leave me with no choice. you are one of them who do detailing/drying at the "washing bay"? Yes, you can wash dry or detail at the bay, but be more considerate if during "peak" period or when ppl wanted to wash too...
