last time and now got pri sch teachers stand at traffic lights infront of sch just to make sure the students cross the road safety...LOL...so now from traffic warden they have to become patrol guard also....next time do what??????

go to nearby pasir ris beach and be life guard in case their students drown and they have to be unanswerable?

or go to pasir ris park and catch students in heat! LOL

If you had seen some of those boys & girls wearing school uniform behaving at arcade and malls, you will understand why......

Had seen some even smoke in school uniform ...... [knife]

I don't see the point. What if the kids really have to get something from the mall? Have to go home, change, then return to shop?

I feel allowing them in uniform is better. If the students misbehaved...at least others can complaint to the school. Such rules are only to protect the image of the school....nothing else. Silly.

I am not against them if they went in and buy something and left but seeing them (in a large group) placing their school bags on the bench, running all over the place, shouting vulgar words at each other and best of all, in school uniform .....:huh:

They will be doing that either in uniform or their 'home' clothes. Either way they are a nuisance.

Turbocharged

this is a dumb and stupid rule..if they want to place emphasis on "inculcating in our students good habits like using time prudently." then making students go home, change into home clothes before going out to buy lunch is totally against that 'emphasis'

hope the parents join together to see MP and make the school change this load of BS rule..

I also think it's a stupid rule whose primary purpose is not so much out of concern for the students, but first and foremost is to protect the mgmt by preventing embarassing photos of students in uniform in all kinds of positions appearing online or in print [lipsrsealed]

I don't have sympathy for students who waste their time loitering or mixing with bad company, actually. They can rot for all I care.

But I pity the teaching staff who are forced to 'patrol' outside the school grounds... isn't this some kind of violation of the employment terms?

the principal talk so much bull s--t, in the end she's just trying to cover her own backside. if follow her rules, all the students become frog in the well already, everyday after sch must go straight home cannot go anywhere else, cannot see much of outside world!

she just trying to cover her own a** , if the student really did something against the law , it rather easy for the police or member of the public to identify them in their uniform(it a good thing) .teenager year are all about breaking and bending the rules...just my 2 cents no offense to any of the parent here , if one has a good upbringing we shouldnt worry much about their action.
